Tiospa Zina 55, Wakpala 32

MITCHELL — Maya Deutsch powered Tiospa Zina to a girls basketball win at Thursday’s Dakota Oyate Challenge.

Deutsch netted a game-high 26 points, while Latice Rodlund added nine points. Journee Haley scored eight points.

For Wakpala, Tylene Hawk Bear scored a team-high 18 points. Jayla Plenty Chief scored six points. 


Douglas 59, Lead-Deadwood 41

BOX ELDER — Douglas pulled away from Lead-Deadwood for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Douglas’ Olivia Harris tossed in a game-high 22 points. Ashlyn Blasius posted 10 points and Ramzy Johnson finished with eight points. Emma Blaisure scored seven points.

For Lead-Deadwood, Piper Rogers and Jerzie Artz scored 12 points apiece. Nikiah Black had nine points.


Lyman 50, New Underwood 16 

PRESHO — Brooke Palmer and Mak Scott powered Class B No. 4 Lyman to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Palmer finished with 17 points, while Scott added 15 points. Palmer added nine steals and three rebounds. Scott added four rebounds, four assists and three steals. Jordyn Scott had eight points and Kenzie Wagner scored six points. 

New Underwood’s Emmalee Scott scored six points. 


Centerville 65, Viborg-Hurley 35

VIBORG — Izzie Eide and Emma Marshall combined for 43 points as Class B No. 1 Centerville defeated Viborg-Hurley in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Eide led all scorers with 25 points and added 10 rebounds. Marshall added 18 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocked shots. 

Charley Nelson paced VIborg-Hurley with 11 points and seven rebounds. Tatum Lyons contributed nine points and four rebounds. 


Vermillion 60, Dell Rapids 50

VERMILLION — Taylor Reuvers powered Vermillion to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Reuvers tossed in a game-high 29 points, to go along with six rebounds and five steals. Brooke Jensen added 22 points and eight rebounds.

Dell Rapids’ Rorie Thoreson scored 18 points and Jersi Schultz added 15 points. Elin Schoenhard had eight points and seven rebounds.


Highmore-Harrold 53, Wolsey-Wessington 32

HIGHMORE — Jada Baloun and Addison McDonnell powered Highmore-Harrold to a girls basketball victory Thursday.

Baloun finished with 17 points and nine rebounds, McDonnell had 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Tenley McDonnell collected five assists and three steals in the win.

WW’s Raya Toupal led with eight points, Maria Nelson had six points, while Payton Peterson added five points in the loss.


Marty 50, Lower Brule 45

MITCHELL — Marty outlasted Lower Brule in girls basketball action at Thursday’s Dakota Oyate Challenge.

Rozario Zephier finished with 21 points and three 3-pointers. Promise Holiday had nine points and Zoe Waln scored eight points.

For Lower Brule, Lael Middletent scored 18 points and Harper Bien scored 10 points. Ezmiah Middletent scored eight points and Brilyn LaRoche added five points. 


Tiospaye Topa 78, Flandreau Indian 38

MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures to power Tiospaye Topa to a girls basketball win at Thursday’s Dakota Oyate Challenge.

Pamela Meeter scored 33 points and nailed five 3-pointers. Tyrianna Hawk Bear scored 19 points and Leilani Bowker added 16 points. Madison Jeffries had eight points.

For Flandreau Indian, Davoni Sheridan scored 20 points and Shaylee DeCelles had 11 points. Jasmeen Ramirez-Garcia recorded eight points. 


Burke 52, Boyd County (Neb.) 17

BONESTELL — Emmie Hausmann and Olivia Bull combined for 28 points to pace Burke to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Hausmann finished with 18 points and three steals. Bull added 10 points. Annie Connot had five rebounds and Kailee Frank added three stealsl. 


Hamlin 71, Sisseton 58

HAYTI — Addie Steffensen, Issie Steffensen and Addie Neuendorf combined for 68 points to power Class A No. 4 Hamlin to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Addie Steffensen finished with 26 points and hit three 3-pointers. Neuendorf added 22 points and three 3-pointers. Issie Steffense recorded 20 points and six 3-pointers.

For Sisseton, Elliot Hortness finished with 15 points and Saylor Langager scored 14 points. Tara Nelson and Krista Langager scored eight points apiece. Kennedy Hanson scored six points. 


Faulkton Area 52, Leola/Frederick Area 32

FAULKTON — Carley Cotton and Anika Mueller combined for 34 points as Faulkton Area knocked off Leola/Frederick Area in girls basketball action Thursday night. 

Cotton stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, three rebounds, four assists and seven steals. Mueller finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists while Presleigh Marinmaas added eight points and seven assists. 

Jillian Ellwein led Leola/Frederick Area with 19 points, three rebounds and five steals. 


Northwestern 49, Potter County 37

MELLETTE — Ashley Haven and Adrianna Ratigan combined for 33 points as Northwestern edged Potter County in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Ratigan finished with 20 points, five rebounds and three steals. Haven added 13 points and grabbed five rebounds. Ella Boekelheide scored six points and grabbed 11 rebounds. 

Finlee Heien and Peyton Stevens each scored 10 points. Emma Schlachter had two points and 15 rebounds. 


Sioux Valley 65, Beresord 30

BERESFORD — Kailey Cradduck’s big night helped Sioux Valley run past Beresford for a win in girls basketball action Thursday night. 

Cradduck powered Sioux Valley with 26 points and eight rebounds. Talya Vincent finished with 16 points and three assists while Liberty Trygstad added eight points and six rebounds. 

Ella Merriman led Beresford with 15 points and five rebounds while Lily Seivert chipped in with 15 points, two rebounds and three assists. 


Castlewood 54, Iroquois/Lake Preston 18

CASTLEWOOD — A balanced scoring attack helped Castlewood who picked up a win over Iroquois/Lake Preston in girls basketball action Thursday night. 

Sophia Kudma led Castlewood with 12 points, four rebounds and three steals. Cydni Kudma added seven points, two assists and five steals while Lily Jacobsen added six points and three rebounds.

Kera Dubro, Natalie Cundy and Hadlee Holt each scored four points for Iroquois/Lake Preston. 


Deubrook Area 56, Flandreau 35

DEUBROOK — Matte Gouws and Matte Bauman combined for 37 points as Deubrook Area knocked off Flandreau in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Gouws led all scorers with 20 points while Bauman scored 17 points.

Morgan Sheppard led Flandreau with 13 points and Hannah Krull chipped in with 10 points. 


Milbank 60, Deuel 40

MILBANK — A balanced scoring attack helped Milbank run past Deuel in girls basketball action Thursday night. 

Tyra Berry led Milbank with 14 points and three rebounds. Isabella Anderson added 14 points while Claire Snaza and Bella Pauli each scored eight points. 

Camdyn Peterreins led Deuel with 13 points and four rebounds while Ember Morris chipped in with seven points. 


Lennox 54, Parker 22

LENNOX — Andie Peters and Ryan Hanssen powered Lennox to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Peters posted 17 points and Hanssen added 12 points. 

Parker’s Meah Wright scored nine points. 


Wagner 62, Scotland-Menno 15

SCOTLAND — Three players scored in double-figures as Wagner defeated Scotland-Menno in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Ashlyn Koupal led Wagner with 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists and eight steals. Lydia Yost added 17 points and five rebounds and Braxton Nedved chipped in with 12 points and four assists. 

Kylie Guthmiller, Kyliah Bjorum and Kailin Odens each scored three points for Scotland-Menno. 


Rapid City Christian 57, Hot Springs 28

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian coasted past Hot Springs for a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Rapid City Christian’s Nora Kieffer recorded 17 points and Lydia Williams added eight points. Brynn Casey tallied seven points.

Hot Springs stats were not reported. 


Sioux Falls Christian 60, Dakota Valley 48

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian held off Class A No. 3 Dakota Valley in girls basketball action on Thursday.

Sioux Falls Christian’s Ruth Dvoracek scored 18 points. 

Dakota Valley’s Katie Betsworth finished with 19 points and three assists. Ella Otten had 15 points. Emersen Mead added 12 rebounds. 


Brookings 53, Harrisburg 50

HARRISBURG — Macey Even and Logan Smidt powered Brookings to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Even finished with 26 points and Smidt had 20 points. 

Harrisburg’s Logan Durnil recorded 17 points and Claire McCallum added 10 rebounds. 

 

Spearfish 59, Rapid City Central 57

RAPID CITY — A balanced scoring attack helped Spearfish slip past Rapid City Central in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Mya Kochuten led Spearfish with 21 points, three rebounds and three assists. Avery Kirk added 12 points and six rebounds. Jozie Dans and Kali Reiners combined for 15 points for the Spartans. 

Leah Landry led Rapid City Central with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Jo Pierce added 11 points while Chloe Shreve chipped in with 10 points.
