Kadoka Area girls, Philip boys win titles at Wall Invitational track and field meet

WALL — The Kadoka Area girls and Philip boys won team titles at Monday’s Wall Invitational track and field meet. 

The Kadoka Area girls recorded 122 points, finishing ahead of Philip (110) and Wall (100). The Philip boys tallied 139 points, finishing ahead of Wall (127) and Jones County (100). 

In girls action, Kadoka Area’s Makaylan Bonenberger won the 800-meter run (2:35.35) and the 1,600-meter run (5:46.71, a meet record). 

Jones County’s BreAna Aske won the 100-meter dash (:13.02), 200-meter dash (:26.59), 400-meter dash (:59.83) and long jump (17-1.5, a meet record). Jones County’s Aubrie Norman won the 100-meter hurdles (:18.02) and the 300-meter hurdles (:50.71). 

Philip’s Dacoda Harry, Callie Harry, Nora Peterson and Mesa Mangis won the 400-meter relay (:54.95). Peterson, Anna McKinley, Harry and Memphis Konst won the 1,600-meter relay (4:57.64). 

Mangis added a first-place finish in the triple jump (31-10). 

Wall’s Taylor McDonnell, Jocelyn Bielmaier, Khloe Kitterman and Kamryn Kjerstad won the 800-meter relay (1:55.02). 

Wall’s Jocelyn Bielmaier, Khloe Kitterman, Karmyn Kjerstad and Emmy Moon won the sprint medley relay (4:45.00). 

Kadoka Area’s Landyn Koehn won the shot put (35-10.5), the discus (118-6) and placed second in the javelin (92-3). 

Jones County’s Maggie Dowling won the javelin (99-6, a meet record). White River’s Maleena Brave won the high jump (5-3, a meet record). Kadoka Area’s Ella Schofield won the pole vault (7-9).

In boys action, Jones County’s Asa Best won the 100-meter dash (:11.80), the 200-meter dash (:23.63), the 400-meter dash (:52.13, a meet record) and the long jump (21-0). 

Philip’s David McKinley won the 800-meter run (2:07.29).

Philip’s Teagan Gropper, Owen Terkildsen, Beckham Terkildsen and Tyce Gropper won the 400-meter relay (:46.10). The team quartet won the 800-meter relay (1:35.14). 

Philip’s Xander Harry, Creston Burns, Aidan Craven and Baylor Burns won the 1,600-meter relay (3:53.79). 

Philip’s Latham Gabriel, Kaleb VanDusseldorp, TeShaun Williams and Jack Peterson won the sprint medley relay (4:02.49). Williams added a first-place finish in the triple jump (35-9). 

Jones County’s Thad Kierl, Bryer Kinsley, Jace Nix and Adrik Schoon won the 3,200-meter relay (9:34.16). 

White River’s Elijah Haukaas won the 1,600-meter run (5:06.24), the 3,200-meter run (11:23.34) and placed third in the 800-meter run (2:16.23). 

Wall’s Tanner Volmer won the 110-meter hurdles (:16.42), 300-meter hurdles (:40.86, a meet record) and placed second in the 200-meter dash (:11.86). 

Wall’s Ryon Bielmaier won the shot put (43-8). Wall’s Riley Kerner won the discus (124-3) and placed third in the javelin (117-5). 

White River’s Gunner Watson won the javelin (152-9, a meet record). Philip’s Ridge Furnival won the pole vault (10-6). New Underwood’s James Culver won the high jump (5-6).
