BELLE FOURCHE — Belle Fourche’s Lane Krautschun and Lemmon’s Karly Riley won individual titles at Thursday’s Belle Fourche Invitational at the Belle Fourche Country Club. 

Krautschun covered the 5,000-meter race in 16-minutes:45.74 seconds, well ahead of Douglas athletes Peyton Cast (17:13) and Wyatt Balliew (17:13). Powder River, Colorado’s Thomas Oliver (17:25) and Custer’s Sean Shipp (17:45) rounded out the top-five runners. 

Riley won the 5,000-meter race in 22:23, ahead of Belle Fourche's LIa Mundt (21:36) and Lead-Deadwood's Hallie Person (21:48). Custer's Brit Wheeler (21:57) and Hot Springs runner Carlie DeBoer (22:08) rounded out the top-five runners. 

No team points were kept at Thursday's meet.
