PRESHO — Lyman’s Mak Scott scored her 2,000th career point on Tuesday.

The senior girls basketball player is the 38th South Dakota girls basketball player to score 2,000 or more points. Scott is the Lyman girls basketball all-time leader in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. 

A 6-foot forward, Scott was a first-team Class B all-state selection last season. She’s averaging 15.5 points per game this season. The Raiders (19-2) defeated Kimball/White Lake, 69-14, in Region 5B action on Tuesday. Scott finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and three assists against KWL. Mak's sister, Jordyn Scott, added 22 points, nine steals, four rebounds and three assists.

Lyman will continue Region 5B action on Feb. 26 at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.
