Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 70, Mahpiya Luta 57

STURGIS — Five players scored in double figures as Cheyenne-Eagle clipped Mahpiya Luta for a boys SoDak 16 win Tuesday. The Braves will play in the Class A state tournament on March 19-21 in Rapid City.

Damien Clown led CEB with 20 points, Levi Elk Nation added 16 points. Nehemiah Veaux and Nicholas Woods II each had 11 points while Austin Johnson tallied 10 points in the win.

For ML, Julian Tonche tallied 16 points, Braylon Little had nine points, Riley Brave collected eight points while Braiden Lunderman had seven points in the loss.


Sioux Falls Christian 89, Wagner 68

MADISON — Brant Wassenaar exploded for 36 points as Sioux Falls Christian rolled to a SoDak 16 boys basketball win over Wagner Tuesday. The Chargers will play in the Class A state tournament on March 19-21 in Rapid City. 

Wassenaar finished with a game-high 36 points in the win, Carson Nickles added 14 points, Canyon Prins recorded 12 points, Ryan Dieleman added 11 points while Cooper Goodbary recorded right points in the win.

For Wagner, Carlos Galindo and Jesse Zephier each had 20 points, Ky Arpan poured in 16 points while Leon Fields totaled eight points in the loss.


Groton Area 62, Pine Ridge 54

CHAMBERLAIN — Four players scored in double figures to power Groton Area to a SoDak 16 boys basketball win on Tuesday. The Tigers will play in the Class A state tournament on March 19-21 in Rapid City.

Karson Zak finished with 19 points, while Ryder Johnson and Gage Sippel scored 13 points apiece. Keegen Tracy had 10 points. 

For Pine Ridge, Marvin Richard III tossed in 27 points and hit six 3-pointers. Talton Hawk added 16 points. Christian Pulliam had six points and Donnie Ghost Dog added five points.


Stanley County 54, Flandreau 45

MILLER — A balanced scoring attack guided Stanley County over Flandreau for a boys SoDak 16 win Tuesday. The Buffaloes will play in the Class A state tournament on March 19-21 in Rapid City.

Paxton Deal led SC with 16 points, Trevor Caldwell added 12 points, Eddie Duffy recorded eight points while Teegyn Breitag had seven points in the win.

For Flandreau, Luke Sheppard led the way with 13 points, Kody Kneebone added 10 points, Alexavier Poitra had nine points while Xavier Bien netted six points in the loss.


West Central 73, Webster Area 39

MADISON — Will Kuhl and Connor Mebius combined for 41 points as West Central topped Webster Area in SoDak 16 boys basketball action Tuesday.

Kuhl totaled 22 points, three steals and two blocks, Mebius added 19 points, six assists and three steals, Boche Knight tallied nine points and four rebounds while Tanner Wagner collected eight points and seven rebounds in the win.

For Webster Area, Matthew Mount totaled 17 points and two steals while Jack Shoemaker collected 13 points and three rebounds in the loss.
