New Underwood 83, Crazy Horse 46

NEW UNDERWOOD — Zach Henriksen exploded for 30 points as New Underwood defeated Crazy Horse in Region 7B boys basketball action Tuesday.

Henriksen totaled 30 points for the Tigers, Blake Beer added 16 points, Kaleb Myers had 14 points, Ethan Enos scored 10 points while Quinn Ashwege totaled seven points in the win.

For CH, Truman Randall totaled 19 points, Terrell Ashely had 12 points while Jimmy Ten Fingers had six points in the loss.


Pine Ridge 108, Lakota Tech 30

PINE RIDGE — Marvin Richard III broke the all-time South Dakota boys basketball scoring record in Region 7A action on Tuesday.

Richard III netted 73 points, breaking the previous all-time scoring record set by Argonne’s Delbert Gillam (72) in 1953. Richard III hit 29 field goals, finished 12-of-12 at the free-throw line and nailed three 3-pointers. 

Last season, Richard III set the Class A boys basketball scoring record with a 62-point performance, surpassing both West Central’s Josh Mueller (60) and Mahpiya Luta’s Alejandro Rama (60). Richard III now has 2,622 career points, the sixth most in South Dakota boys basketball history.

Talton Hawk added 14 points and Donnie Ghost Dog had eight points. Zaedyn Winters and Christian Pulliam scored five points apiece. 

For Lakota Tech, Tarrant Reddest scored 10 points. Richard Palmier III added seven points and Hunter Brewer had six points. 


Corsica-Stickney 42, Gregory 41

GREGORY — Corsica-Stickney clipped Gregory in Region 5B boys basketball action Tuesday.

Jaxson Feenstra led the Jaguars with 16 points, Brooks Blom added nine points and four rebounds while Jett Kemp brought down seven rebounds in the win.

Gregory’s Lincoln Juracek scored 15 points. Colt Keiser added 13 points and 12 rebounds.


Bridgewater-Emery 71, Colman-Egan 55

EMERY — Holden Wollmann and Ben Weber powered Bridgewater-Emery to a Region 3B boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Wollmann finished with 28 points, while Weber added 24 points and 10 boards. 

For CE, Caden Zwart totaled 23 points. Logan Claflin had 10 points and four rebounds. 


Deubrook Area 55, Estelline/Hendricks 51

WHITE — Chance Shoenfeld and Braxton Bednarek combined for 44 points as Class B No. 10 Deubrook Area knocked off Estelline/Hendricks in Region 2B boys basketball action Tuesday.

Schoenfeld led the Dolphins with 23 points while Bednarek added 21 points in the win.

For EH, Drayden Cokens had 19 points while Cade Hexem and Kade Hauck each had 11 points in the loss.


Dell Rapids 62, Madison 61

MADISON — Camden Jones’ 24-point performance powered Dell Rapids over Madison in Region 3A boys basketball Tuesday.

Jones led the Quarriers with 24 points and four rebounds, Lincoln Anderson added 12 points, Carson Maeschen recorded eight points, Jackson Peppel netted seven points while Karson Paye had six points, five rebounds and four assists in the win.

For Madison, Shane Veenhof finished with 18 points and two steals, Henry Veenhof added 17 points and six rebounds while Ethan Sims netted 13 points in the loss.


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 86, Crow Creek 23

EAGLE BUTTE — Cheyenne-Eagle Butte coasted past Crow Creek in Region 6A boys basketball action on Tuesday. 

CEB’s Kobe White scored 17 points and Damien Clown had 16 points. Levi Elk Nation had 14 points. Austin Johnson totaled 11 points and Destinn Straighthead had 10 points. Nicholas Woods II had nine points and Nehemiah Veaux totaled seven points.

For Crow Creek, Ashton Comes Flying and Justin St. John scored seven points apiece. 


Mobridge-Pollock 63, Platte-Geddes 56

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock outlasted Platte-Geddes in Region 6A boys basketball action on Tuesday.

Kale Knudson finished with 20 points for the Tigers. Trueth Crow Ghost scored 15 points and Kyson Good Shield added nine points. Jesse Schneider and Easton Eisemann scored seven points apiece. Shooter Frederick had five points. 

For PG, Jameson Leader scored 18 points. Jye Bailey totaled 14 points, five rebounds and four assists. Isaac Leader had 10 points and four rebounds. Ziggy Duffy added seven points and four rebounds. Landen Wright had eight rebounds and four points.


Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 43, Dell Rapids St. Mary 31

WOONSOCKET — McCoy Schulz’s 19-point performance powered Sanborn Central-Woonsocket over Dell Rapids St. Mary in boys basketball action Tuesday.

Schulz finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds, Ladon Jensen added eight points while Grant Edwards recorded seven points and nine boards in the win.

For DRSM, Trimmier Hanson had 12 points while Logan Bauer and Peyton Lamb each had six points in the loss.


Castlewood 70, James Valley Christian 51

CASTLEWOOD — Four players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 1 Castlewood to a Region 2B boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Castlewood’s Tyson Manley and Kamden Keszler finished with 16 points apiece. Leonard Wernke totaled 10 points and eight boards. Brody Bass had 10 points and nine rebounds. Will Aderhold totaled eight points and 11 rebounds. Trevor Everson had eight points.

For JVC, Jayven Van Scharel totaled 14 points and Gavin Waldner added 13 points. Noah Fast scored eight points. Kolby VanDerWerff had six points and Kyler Boomsma had five points. 


De Smet 84, Iroquois/Lake Preston 52

DE SMET — Four players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 2 De Smet to a Region 2B boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Grant Wilkinson finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Carter Wilkinson added 24 points and eight boards. Slayten Wilkinson totaled 17 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Noah Luethmers had 15 points, four rebounds and three assists. Kolby Sinclair had eight assists.

For ILP, Lucas Peskey totaled 21 points, 10 rebounds and five 3-pointers. Carter Arbeiter had nine points and five rebounds. Rexton Blue totaled eight points and five boards. Brycen Blue added seven points and three rebounds. 


Parkston 57, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 39

PARKSTON — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 6 Parkston to a Region 4B boys basketball win over Tripp-Delmont/Armour Tuesday.

Brycen Bruening led the Trojans with 15 points, Grady Bowar added 14 points while Mason Jervik netted 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists.

For TDA, Grant Wunder had nine points and six rebounds, Ashton Koster added eight points and seven rebounds while Daylin Kok netted eight points in the loss.


Leola/Frederick Area 60, Wilmot 48

LEOLA — Three players scored in double figures to power Leola/Frederick Area to a Region 1B boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Leola/Frederick Area’s Milo Sumption totaled 24 points, while Winston Clark had 14 points. Westyn Thorpe added 10 points. 

For Wilmot, Ethan Schwenn scored 14 points and Tyler Heinje added 13 points. Carson Jurgens scored eight points. Maddux Foss added six points. 


Centerville 68, Irene-Wakonda 51

CENTERVILLE — Ethan Bobzin and Alec Austin combined for 42 points as Centerville knocked off Irene-Wakonda in Region 4B boys basketball action Tuesday.

Bobzin finished with 22 points and six rebounds while Austin netted a double-double with 20 points and 10 boards. Logan Ruter recorded 14 points, six rebounds and three assists while Corbin Tople scored six points in the win.

For IW, Hayden Hansen had 14 points, Brody Johnke netted 15 points, Christian Putman had nine points while Noah Hansen scored seven points in the loss.


Waubay/Summit 51, Hitchcock-Tulare 36

WAUBAY — Jace Wohlleber and Hogan Hlavacek powered Waubay/Summit to a Region 1B boys basketball win over Hitchcock-Tulare Tuesday.

Wohlleber led the Mustangs with 18 points, Hlavacek netted 13 points while Tripp Gaikowski added six points in the win.

For HT, Deegan Moes and Devin Enander each had nine points while Patrick Maynard led the Patriots with 12 points in the loss.


Dupree 99, Takini 21

DUPREE — Dupree coasted past Takini in Region 8B boys basketball action on Tuesday.

Dupree’s Spencer Olsen scored 24 points and Cruz Birkeland added 18 points. Ayden Uses Knife had 12 points and Jayden Marshall had 10 points. Dayson Kennedy had nine points and Hudson Terveen-Smith had eight points. Traden Meeks totaled six points 

For Takini, Drayveus Yellow Owl had six points and Xavier Condon totaled five points. 


Freeman 66, Gayville-Volin 42

FREEMAN — David Walter and Tayden Kerrigan combined for 40 points as Class B No. 3 Freeman defeated Gayville-Volin in Region 4B boys basketball action Tuesday.

Walter finished with 24 points and four steals, Kerrigan added 16 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals, Tate Sorensen and Luke Peters each had eight points while Luke Miller scored six points, four assists and three boards in the win.

For GV, Preston Karstens had 10 points and nine rebounds while Will Fairly and Wyatt Mehlhaff each had nine points and eight rebounds in the loss.


Winner 46, St. Francis Indian 27

WINNER — Sam Steele’s 21-point game guided Winner over St. Francis Indian in Region 7A boys basketball action Tuesday.

Steele finished with 21 points, hitting five 3-pointers, while Jalen Tideman added 12 points in the win.

For SFI, Jesse Rodriquez had 11 points while Roger Roether III tallied seven points in the loss.


Flandreau 71, Garretson 66

FLANDREAU — Luke Sheppard and Alexavier Poitra combined for 48 points as Flandreau took down Garretson in Region 3A boys basketball action Tuesday.

Sheppard finished with 27 points, six rebounds and three steals, Poitra added 21 points and four assists while Kody Kneebone netted 14 points, 10 rebounds and three steals in the win.

For Garretson, Carter Siemonsma led with 18 points, Colton Buchholz added 16 points while Brecken Wier had 15 points in the loss.


Elkton-Lake Benton 67, Great Plains Lutheran 29

ELKTON — A balanced scoring attack paced Elkton-Lake Benton over Great Plains Lutheran in Region 2A boys basketball action Thursday.

Joseph Nibbe led the Elks with 18 points, Eliot Erickson added 11 points, Colt Beck scored nine points while Myles Poindexter and Berkley Hemmen each scored seven points in the win.

For GPL, Lucas Johnson totaled nine points while Aiden Cameron and Jarret Bauer each totaled five points in the loss.


Viborg-Hurley 59, Avon 39

HURLEY — Class B No. 4 Viborg-Hurley knocked off Avon in Region 4B boys basketball action Tuesday.

VH’s Brady Schroedermeier tallied 22 points and 16 rebounds in the win, Nolan Kolthoff added 11 points and six rebounds while Walker Warwick netted 10 points in the win.

For Avon, Dominic Doom had 11 points and three rebounds, Braylon Fathke added 11 points and five boards, Al’Shamon Gunter netted seven points, 10 boards and three blocks while Zander Fathke tallied five points, six rebounds and three assists in the loss.


Dakota Valley 62, Beresford 57

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Aaron Bruns and Tatum Sorensen powered Dakota Valley to a Region 4A win over Beresford Tuesday.

Bruns finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds, Sorensen added 16 points, six rebounds and four steals, Cash Slater netted seven points while Grady Ramos and Payton Sorensen each had six points in the win.

Beresford’s stats were not reported.


Ipswich 57, Wakpala 39

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double figures as Ipswich knocked off Wakpala in Region 6B boys basketball action Tuesday.

Shay Knust led with 20 points, three rebounds and three assists, Jaxon Holt added 12 points and four rebounds while Hayden Schlosser netted 11 points and 10 rebounds. Brody Davis recorded six points while Josh Rausch added five points and five boards in the win.

For Wakpala, Bretten Wells had 16 points, TaVaughn Steele recorded seven points and 10 boards while Juanito Ducheneaux netted eight points in the loss.


Lead-Deadwood 69, Custer 51

LEAD — Four players scored in double figures to power Lead-Deadwood over Custer for a Region 8A boys basketball win Tuesday.

Canon Rogers and Blake Janssen each had 19 points, Enzo Stone added 13 points while Garrett Rantapaa each had 10 points in the win.

For Custer, Brady Virtue tallied 29 points despite the loss while Ian Schiffer and Regan Sorenson each had seven points in the loss.


Harding County 45, Lemmon 39

DUPREE — Ryder Hunsucker and Cohen Smith combined for 36 points as Harding County clipped Lemmon in Region 8B boys basketball action Tuesday.

Ryder Hunsucker led the Ranchers with 19 points while Smith added 17 points in the win.

For Lemmon, Trigg Odenbach led with 15 points, Drew Hetzel added nine points while Atticus Yalowizer had six points in the loss.
