Freeman 63, Parkston 54

PARKSTON — Freeman held off Parkston for a Region 4B boys basketball win on Saturday. Freeman will play in the SoDak 16 on March 10. 

Freeman’s David Walter finished with 30 points. Tate Sorensen and Luke Peters had eight points apiece. Luke Miller added seven points. Oliver Waltner scored six points.

For Parkston, Brycen Bruening had 29 points. Reco Muilenburg scored nine points. Mason Jervik had eight points. Sean Deckert totaled five points. 


De Smet 53, Deubrook Area 51

HURON — De Smet rallied from a 15-point deficit and edged Deubrook Area in Region 2B boys basketball action on Saturday. De Smet will play in the SoDak 16 on March 10. 

De Smet’s Grant Wilkinson finished with 27 points, 13 rebounds and three steals. Noah Luethmers added 10 points and four rebounds. Slayten Wilkinson had six points and six assists, while Carter Wilkinson added five points and eight boards. Coy Van Regenmorter scored five points.

For Deubrook Area, Braxton Bednarek finished with 25 points, seven rebounds and three 3-pointers. Joshua Moberg added 10 points and seven rebounds. Chance Schoenfeld recorded eight points and four rebounds. Charlie Olson had nine rebounds and three points. Isaac Gass scored five points. 


Castlewood 55, Wessington Springs 53

HURON — Three players scored in double figures as Castlewood clipped Wessington Springs in Region 2B boys basketball action on Saturday. Castlewood will play in the SoDak 16 on March 10. 

Castlewood’s Kamden Keszler finished with 18 points and three rebounds. Brody Bass added 14 points, eight rebounds and three 3-pointers. Will Aderhold totaled 13 points, three rebounds, three blocks and three 3-pointers. Leonard Wernke had six points and four rebounds.

For Wessington Springs, Parker Graff finished with 20 points, six rebounds and four 3-pointers. Colby Flowers had 18 points and five rebounds. Logan Mebius totaled 12 points and six boards.


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 51, Ethan 47 (OT)

MADISON — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket outlasted Ethan for a Region 3B boys basketball win Saturday. The Blackhawks will play in the SoDak 16 on March 10.

Grant Edwards led SCW with 15 points and eight rebounds, Sam Baruth added 14 points, including four 3-pointers, with two steals and a block, McCoy Schulz recorded nine points and seven rebounds, Eli White added eight points, five rebounds and three steals while Landon Jensen recorded five points and three rebounds in the win.

For Ethan, Davin Hohn led the Rustlers with 17 points, five rebounds and two assists, Tuff Martin added 11 points and nine rebounds, Creighton Klumb recorded nine points, eight rebounds and three steals while Jack Bartscher collected six points and nine boards in the loss.


Sioux Falls Lutheran 52, Bridgewater-Emery 43

MADISON — Kade Matthies’ 22-point burst powered Sioux Falls Lutheran over Bridgewater-Emery in Region 3B boys basketball action Saturday. The Eagles will play in the SoDak 16 on March 10.

Matthies finished with a team-high 22 points with three rebounds in the win, Rowen Becker added 10 points, Drew Knobloch collected nine points and seven boards while Sam Borg added six points in the win.

For BE, Ben Weber led all scorers with 25 points and 18 rebounds while Holden Wollmann collected 10 points, four boards and three steals in the loss.

 

Viborg-Hurley 58, Centerville 35

VIBORG — Three players scored in double figures to pace Viborg-Hurley to a Region 4B boys basketball win on Saturday. Viborg-Hurley will play in the SoDak 16 on March 10. 

VH’s Brady Schroedermeier totaled 19 points and eight boards. Nolan Kolthoff added 11 points. Braydyn Morrison had 10 points. Jake Austin scored six points.

For Centerville, Logan Ruter had 11 points and seven rebounds. Alec Austin added 10 points.

Lyman 61, Corsica/Stickney 39

MITCHELL — Dawsen Volmer’s 20-point game guided Lyman over Corsica/Stickney for a Region 5B boys basketball win Saturday. The Raiders will play in the SoDak 16 on March 10.

Volmer led the Raiders with 20 points in the win, Canyon Garnos added 12 points, MJ Diehm recorded 11 points, Cole Kieffer added eight points while Josiah Vaad added five points in the win.

For CS, Jett Kemp had 14 points while Brooks Blom and Peyton Denning each had eight points in the loss.

 

Viborg-Hurley 58, Centerville 35

VIBORG — Three players scored in double figures to pace Viborg-Hurley to a Region 4B boys basketball win on Saturday. Viborg-Hurley will play in the SoDak 16 on March 10.
