LENNOX — Sioux Falls Christian’s Ellie Maddox set a school and Rich Luther Invitational record in the 800-meter run on Thursday.

Maddox covered the 800-meter run in 2-minutes and :20.58 seconds, which broke her own school record in the event.

It was part of a record-setting day for the Chargers, who also set meet records in two relays: the girls sprint medley relay and the boys 3,200-meter relay.

The Charger quartet of Emma Buys, Mya VanDonge, Savaeh Sichmeller and Ann Vyn set the meet record in the girls sprint medley relay (4:19.85). The Sioux Falls Christian foursome of Derrek VanderLeest, Bennett Wassenaar, Patrick Vogel and Isaac Davelaar set the meet record in the 3,200-meter relay (8:22.78). 

Sioux Falls Christian’s Josiah Adams was a triple winner in the 200-meter dash (:24.08), the 110-meter hurdles (:15.99) and the 300-meter hurdles (:41.80). 

The Sioux Falls Christian boys captured all five relays. 

Dakota Valley’s Silija Gunderson was a double winner in the girls 100-meter hurdles (:16.03) and 300-meter hurdles (:49.24).
