Wolsey-Wessington’s Mallory Miller, who turned into a major Division I prospect in recent weeks, has committed to Arizona State.

Miller tweeted her college intentions on Friday and will join her sister, Hanna, at Arizona State. A 6-foot-1 forward, Hanna is currently a freshman women’s basketball player at Dodge City Community College, a junior college in Kansas.

Mallory Miller picked the Sun Devils over major Division I scholarship offers from schools like BYU, Colorado, Arizona, Wisconsin, Syracuse, Tennessee and Louisville, along with a number of mid-major programs.

Last season, Mallory and Hanna Miller played for Aberdeen Christian, leading the Knights to their first-ever Class B state girls basketball tournament. This season, Hanna is averaging 3.1 points and 2.8 rebounds through 17 games at Dodge City Community College.

“I would love to play with my sister again,” Mallory Miller told 605 Sports in an interview in January. “That would be an amazing opportunity. It definitely weighs in on the decision.”

Mallory was a second-team all-stater last season, averaging 19.5 points, 13.2 rebounds and 3.5 blocked shots per game. Mallory has more than 1,000 career points and more than 500 career rebounds.

This season, Mallory and Warbirds (18-2) are ranked No. 2 Class B girls basketball. Wolsey-Wessington starts postseason play next week.
