Stevens captures second straight Class AA state tennis title

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Stevens won the girls Class AA state tennis tournament on Oct. 6-7. 

The Raiders recorded 479 points to earn their second straight Class AA state championship. Sioux Falls O’Gorman (370) and Sioux Falls Lincoln (369) were second and third, respectively.

In singles action, Anna Mueller (Flight 3), Kaiya Parkin (Flight 4), Arabella Scott (Flight 5) and Evelyn Haar (Flight 6) won state championships. 

In doubles action, Mueller and Lindsey Pfingston won the Flight 3 state championship.
