RAPID CITY — The Sturgis girls captured the team title at Friday’s Region 4 wrestling tournament. 

The Scoopers totaled 208 points, finishing ahead of Spearfish (206.5) and Rapid City Stevens (169.5). 

Annalee Pierson (110 pounds) was the lone individual champ for the Scoopers, picking up a 14-6 major decision win over Rapid City Central’s Mataya Jacobs in the finals. 

The other individual winners were Belle Fourche’s Kyra Vandenberg (100), Spearfish’s Morgan Little (105), St. Thomas More’s Gabrielle Nelson (115), Lakota Tech’s Brandy Marshall (120), Rapid City Central’s Anna Henstein (125), Spearfish’s Candice Matsuda (130), Spearfish’s Mathilde Matsuda (135), Lemmon’s Quinn Butler (140), Hot Springs’ Sarah Rickenbach (145), Hot Springs’ Katie Snyder (155), Lemmon’s Lainee Gebhart (170), Spearfish’s Marlee Heltzel (190) and Hot Springs’ Caydan Halls (235).
