Sioux Falls Jefferson, in its second season of existence, sits atop the Class 11AAA playoff bracket as a trip to the DakotaDome is well within its grasp.

The Cavaliers are the lone undefeated team still standing in Class 11AAA and won each contest with relative ease. Jefferson is outscoring its opponents by 33 points per game, while scoring 44 points a contest. On defense, the Cavaliers are allowing just 10 points a contest.

Jefferson will play Sioux Falls Washington in Thursday’s quarterfinals. The Cavaliers blanked the Warriors, 49-0, on Sept. 2 in their first meeting this season. The Jefferson vs. Washington winner will play Sioux Falls Lincoln or Brandon Valley in the semifinals.

The Patriots and Lynx just played on Oct. 7, a 34-30 Sioux Falls Lincoln victory. The four-point triumph was part of Lincoln’s four game-winning streak to end the season.

Sioux Falls O’Gorman is the No. 2 seed and it won a thriller in the season finale to secure it. The Knights rallied past Harrisburg, 24-20, in the season finale to earn the second seed. O’Gorman’s defeats were against Tea Area (44-41) and Sioux Falls Jefferson (42-17).

The Knights will play Rapid City Stevens in Thursday’s quarterfinal action. O’Gorman rolled past the Raiders, 49-7, on Sept. 16 in Sioux Falls. The O’Gorman vs. Stevens winner will play Harrisburg or Sioux Falls Roosevelt in the semifinals.

Harrisburg is the No. 3 seed and will host Roosevelt in the quarterfinal contest. Harrisburg blanked Roosevelt, 35-0, on Sept. 23 in Sioux Falls. The Tigers, last year’s Class 11AAA state champs, rattled off seven straight wins during the season. The winning streak was sandwiched in between setbacks to Jefferson (43-13) and O’Gorman (24-20).
