Tuesday afternoon saw some outstanding performances, across the board, as last week’s Class A boys top-ten list took a beating. 

One of those performances was record breaking.

At the Lennox meet on Tuesday, Sioux Falls Christian junior Isaac Davelaar ran a (1:53.78) in the 800-meter run. That broke a Sioux Falls Christian record and lifted Davelaar to the 10th fastest 800-meter run by a South Dakota prep athlete. 

One athlete to keep an eye on this season is Ethan/Parkston freshman James Deckert. This young man has the No. 3 Class A long jump (21-08) and No. 3 triple jump (42-04).

Big mover of the week: Sanborn Central/Woonsocket sophomore Jeff Boschee went from unranked to tied for the best Class A high jump with a leap of (6-02)
