Scotland 44, Menno 40 

MENNO — Scotland clipped Menno in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Scotland’s Kyliah Bjorum finished with 16 points, while Trinity Bietz had 11 points and eight boards. Hope Starwalt and Kailin Odens had six points apiece. Emily Dvorak scored five points. Kalley Vitek had five assists. 

For Menno, Kaelie Derby had 11 points and Ashton Massey added 10 points. Massey added six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Ellyana Ulmer logged six points and four rebounds. Kylie Guthmiller finished with five points and 13 rebounds. Zoe Schaeffer had five points. 


Flandreau 59, Hamlin 39

FLANDREAU — Flandreau’s Claire Sheppard and Lizzie Pavlis posted double-doubles in a girls basketball win over Hamlin on Tuesday. 

Sheppard posted 21 points and 10 rebounds. Pavlis added 13 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and five steals. Lily Klein logged 11 points and three steals.

For Hamlin, Addison Neuendorf scored 22 points.


Winner 61, Stanley County 31

WINNER — Winner picked up a girls basketball win over Stanley County on Tuesday.

Winner’s Kylie Sachtjen posted 12 points, while Ava Craven finished with 10 points. Keelie Kuil logged seven points. Addyson Pravecek scored six points and Ellison Kaiser had five points.

For Stanley County, Mattie Duffy scored a game-high 23 points. Kaysen Magee scored seven points. 

 

Lyman 66, Sully Buttes 48

ONIDA — Class B No 2 Lyman picked up a girls basketball win over Sully Buttes on Tuesday. 

Lyman’s Brooke Palmer posted 23 points, five steals and four rebounds. Skyler Volmer added 17 points, eight steals, eight assists, five rebounds and three blocked shots. Mak Scott posted 15 points, seven steals, six assists, six rebounds and three blocked shots. Jordyn Scott posted five points.

Sully Buttes stats were not reported.


Northwestern 52, Wilmot 28

MELLETTE — Ashley Haven and Anna Ratigan combined to score 37 points in a girls basketball win over Wilmot on Tuesday.

Haven logged 21 points and 11 rebounds. Ratigan added 16 points and eight rebounds. Tara Blachford had seven points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals. Josie Sparling added eight rebounds, four assists, three points and three steals.

For Wilmot, Addison Heinje logged 15 points, five steals, three 3-pointers and eight rebounds. Jada Cameron posted six points and five rebounds. Stacia Redday logged seven rebounds. 


North Central 42, Ipswich 35

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double figures to pace North Central to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

North Central’s Ella Battie posted 13 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. Alaina Dosch and Jenisa Jacobs scored 10 points apiece. Amree Vander Vorst finished with seven points and five rebounds. 

For Ipswich, Tristan Geditz posted 10 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. Gabby Wald had eight points, six rebounds and six assists. Marley Guthmiller had seven points and four rebounds. 


Howard 59, Chester 28

HOWARD — Howard knocked off Chester for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Abby Aslesen led the Tigers with 25 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocked shots. Dakota Spader posted 19 points. Ann Connor and Liz Albrecht scored seven points apiece.

For Chester, Emmerson Eppard had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Tri-Valley 51, Madison 20 

MADISON — Tri-Valley picked up a girls basketball win over Madison on Tuesday.

Lauren Grinde recorded 15 points, three steals and three assists. Mattie Huwe had 14 points and hit four 3-pointers. Hillary Hastings scored six points. 

For Madison, Karley Lurz had six points. Callie McDermott scored five points, while Ella Peterreins added seven rebounds. Audrey Nelson had four points and six rebounds. 


Canton 57, Garretson 32

GARRETSON — Shelbie Olseth and Danica Rozeboom scored 10 points in a Canton girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Garretson’s Adi Fink scored 10 points. 


Sioux Falls Washington 55, Yankton 41 

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Washington pulled away from Yankton for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Washington’s Grace Peterson posted 15 points and five assists. Claire Woods posted 13 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Rylan Kennett had eight points. Isabel Carda scored six points and five boards. Ava Brink and Dana Harpe scored five points apiece. Harpe added six rebounds. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 55, Brandon Valley 48

BRANDON — Class AA No. 3 Sioux Falls Jefferson held off Brandon Valley for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Jefferson’s Brinley Altenburg finished with 19 points, while Jadyn Dunn added 14 points. Abby Horner scored nine points.

For Brandon Valley, Ava Kellenberger had 15 points. Alyvia Padgett posted 11 points, while Madison Geiver logged nine points.
