Lakota Tech 62, St. Francis 27

RAPID CITY — Shania Ferguson paced Lakota Tech to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Wednesday. 

Ferguson finished with 21 points and three 3-pointers. Daisy Red Hawk added 16 rebounds and six points. Deandra Iron Cloud logged nine points and five boards. Layla Robinson had five points and six rebounds. Isabella Shangreaux logged six points, while Jordan Waln added five points and five boards.

For St. Francis, Tusweca Spotted Tail had seven points. Leah Bad Hand logged eight points and 14 boards. 


Red Cloud 93, Tiospa Zina 19

RAPID CITY — Red Cloud coasted past Tiospa Zina for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Wednesday. 

Red Cloud’s Ashlan Blount finished with 24 points, six rebounds and four steals. Jodene Hunter added 17 points, while Essence Tobacco had 10 points and seven steals. Dorthie Mesteth had six points and five rebounds. Kennedy Fridia had eight points and four assists, while Taleah Tobacco had seven points and seven rebounds. Mya Mills scored nine points. 

For Tiospa Zina, Latice Rodlund had seven points.

Wall 73, Dupree 52

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 1 Wall to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Wednesday. 

Wall’s Paige Kjerstad and Alexis Stephan scored 14 points apiece. Kjerstad added 10 boards and three steals. Maranda Poor Bear added 11 points and 10 boards. Nora Dinger logged six points, five steals and four rebounds. Faith Frink scored nine points and Macee Paulsen had five points. 

For Dupree, Taylee Jewett logged 20 points, while Payton Knife had 12 points. Kamari Jensen logged nine points and eight boards. 


Rapid City Christian 52, Pine Ridge 12

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian coasted past Pine Ridge for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Wednesday. 

Rapid City Christian’s Hayden Thorton finished with 11 points, while Lydia Williams and Sadie Marshall logged eight points apiece. Williams added eight boards. Brooke Montgomery had six points. Brynn Casey had seven rebounds and five points. Abby Thomsen had seven points and six rebounds. Macie Ham had five points and eight rebounds. 

For Pine Ridge, Melina Lakota had four points and three rebounds. Sioux Dawn Bianas had five rebounds. 


White River 69, Omaha Nation 44

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures to pace White River to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Wednesday.

Maleena Brave finished with 26 points and three steals. Kamaria Krogman and Chaela O’Leary scored 13 points apiece. Krogman had 10 rebounds, while O’Leary posted six boards. Skyler Krogman had 13 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Riley Lunderman added five points and six rebounds.

Omaha Nation’s Tylisha McCauley recorded 14 points. Dailene Walker added 12 points and seven rebounds. Mikkel Parker had eight points and six rebounds. Taylece McCauley had five points. 


McLaughlin 42, Crow Creek 32 

RAPID CITY — McLaughlin held off Crow Creek for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Wednesday.

McLaughlin’s Blake Thompson tallied 13 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Sandree Steele added 12 points, four rebounds and four steals. Mari Richards recorded nine points and 10 rebounds. 

For Crow Creek, Justine Dog Eagle logged 11 points. Ronessa Sazue had nine points and 10 rebounds. Makenzie Squirrel Coat posted six points, while Mary Dion added five points. 


Custer 43, Todd County 41 (OT)

RAPID CITY — Custer clipped Todd County for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Wednesday.

Custer’s Jordyn Larsen finished with 16 points and six rebounds. Jayda Bennett had six points. Mya Tennyson added six points and 14 rebounds. Katelyn Nelson posted seven rebounds and five points. 

For Todd County, Lesleen Makes Room For Them finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Pet’a Brave added eight points and 11 boards. Payton Leroy logged nine points and four rebounds. Skye Horse Looking tallied five points and eight rebounds.

Little Wound 49, Lower Brule 35

RAPID CITY — Little Wound pulled away from Lower Brule for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Wednesday.

Angeliyah Big Boy finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Tahca Zephier added 10 points. Addison Young recorded eight points and nine rebounds. Layla Janis had six points and nine rebounds. Summer Marshall added six points and five rebounds.

For Lower Brule, Brilyn LaRoche had 13 points, three rebounds and three steals. Lael Middletent had 11 points and seven rebounds. Kaitlyn Thompson finished with seven rebounds and three points. 


Marty 64, Santee 56

RAPID CITY — Jayla Bruguier powered Marty to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Wednesday. 

Bruguier had 32 points, 12 boards and seven rebounds. Cadence Bernie posted 12 points, nine rebounds and five steals. Zoe Waln had 10 points, 10 rebounds and six steals. Rozario Zephier had seven points.

For Santee, Miley Pike posted 29 points and seven rebounds. Talia Saunsoci had 11 points and seven rebounds. Wendy Archambeau and Aubrinee Tuttle scored eight points apiece. 


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 63, Crazy Horse 17 

RAPID CITY — Cheyenne-Eagle Butte coasted past Crazy Horse for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Wednesday. 

CEB’s Maia Buffalo-Halfred finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Tiana Johnson added 13 points and five steals. KaiLoni Johnson had nine points, while Tomi Moran had eight points. JaiLynn Knife tallied six points and four rebounds.

For Crazy Horse, Amerikis Fisherman had four points and four rebounds.
