Lakota Tech 48, McLaughlin 41

RAPID CITY — Lakota Tech outscored McLaughlin 16-6 in the fourth quarter to secure a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Lakota Tech’s Shania Ferguson recorded 10 points and eight rebounds. Isabella Shangreaux logged 10 points. Jordan Waln added seven points and seven rebounds. Kate Robinson had nine points and five rebounds. 

For McLaughlin, Blake Thompson tossed in 17 points and added six steals. Sandee Steele tallied eight points and six rebounds. Mari Richards finished with four points and eight rebounds.


Red Cloud 81, Little Wound 33

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Red Cloud to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Thursday.

Red Cloud’s Jodene Hunter posted 19 points, while Ashlan Blount had 17 points and seven steals. Mya Mills added 12 points. Kennedy Fridia had nine points and six boards. Essence Tobacco and Kinley Fox had six points apiece. Aniyah Lunderman had five points. 

Little Wound’s Tahca Zephier scored nine points and Angeliyah Big Boy scored eight points. Layla Janis had seven points and Delilah Lamont collected eight boards. 


Rapid City Christian 60, White River 59

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian clipped White River for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Thursday.

Rapid City Christian’s Sadie Marshall finished with 18 points and six rebounds. Hayden Thorton and Lydia Williams posted nine points apiece. Shelby Burkhalter finished with eight points. Nora Kieffer scored seven points. 

For White River, Kamaria Krogman finished with 19 points and eight rebounds. Page Wright, Skyler Krogman and Chaela O’Leary scored 10 points apiece. Maleena Brave had nine points, six rebounds and four steals. Riley Lunderman had eight rebounds. 


Lower Brule 69, Tiospa Zina 40 

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures to pace Lower Brule to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Thursday.

Lower Brule’s Kaitlyn Thompson finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds and three steals. Brilyn LaRoche added 17 points and four steals. Lael Middletent posted 15 points, 11 boards and seven steals. 

Tiospa Zina’s Maya Deutsch logged 12 points, five rebounds and three steals. Jaia Bursheim had 11 points and six rebounds. Gerrica Redday added eight points and six rebounds. 


Omaha Nation 67, Pine Ridge 32 

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to push Omaha Nation to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Thursday.

Dailene Walker finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds and three steals. Mikkel Parker had 14 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals. Desma Walker had 11 points, three rebounds and three steals. Tylisha Walker posted nine points. Taylece Walker scored seven points and four rebounds. 

For Pine Ridge, Diana Long Visitor finished with seven points. Mia Grant had six points and three rebounds.
