Red Cloud 63, Rapid City Christian 13

RAPID CITY — Ashlan Carlow and Jodene Hunter combined for 32 points to power Red Cloud to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday. Red Cloud, which won last season’s Oceti Sakowin title, will play Wall in the LNI girls basketball championship on Saturday.

Carlow netted 21 points and logged five steals. Hunter finished with 11 points and four steals. Sarayah Weston, Kennedy Fridia and April Knight scored six points apiece. Mya Mills added five points.

For Rapid City Christian, Hayden Thorton scored five points. Lydia Williams collected six rebounds. 


Wall 59, Lakota Tech 29 

RAPID CITY — Wall coasted past Lakota Tech for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday. Wall will play Red Cloud in the Oceti Sakowin championship game on Saturday. 

Wall’s Paige Kjerstad finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Rhea Tucker added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Nora Dinger and Alexis Stephan scored 11 points apiece. Stephan had seven rebounds, while Dinger collected five boards.

For Lakota Tech, Shania Ferguson had 10 points, four steals and three rebounds. Isabella Shangreaux posted six points. Deandra Iron Cloud had five points. Jordan Waln added four points and six rebounds. 


Custer 47, McLaughlin 37

RAPID CITY — Kylee Ellerton and Jordyn Larsen combined to score 27 points to pace Custer to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday.

Ellerton posted 16 points and hit four 3-pointers. Larsen finished with 11 points, five steals and five rebounds. Emily Borkowski added six points and 11 rebounds. Mya Tennyson had five points and five rebounds. Jayda Bennett had five points and Katelyn Nelson added five rebounds.

For McLaughlin, Mari Richards posted 20 points, eight rebounds, seven blocked shots and five steals. Blake Thompson added nine points and three steals. Sandee Steele had four points, eight rebounds and three steals.  


White River 65, Little Wound 41

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to push White River to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday.

White River’s Page Wright finished with 16 points, six rebounds and three 3-pointers. Maleena Brave had 14 points and seven rebounds. Chaela O’Leary logged 13 points and nine rebounds. Skyler Krogman and Kamaria Krogman scored seven points apiece. Kamaria Krogman had six rebounds. 

For Little Wound, Angeliyah Big Boy had 16 points and eight boards. Tahca Zephier finished with 15 points and six rebounds. Navaeh O’Rourke, Layla Janis and Delilah Lamont had five rebounds apiece. 


Pine Ridge 60, Tiospa Zina 43

RAPID CITY — Pine Ridge pulled away from Tiospa Zina for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday.

Pine Ridge’s Bree Sounding Sides finished with 18 points and eight rebounds. Diana Long Visitor posted 16 points, five steals and four rebounds. Alana Means posted eight points, seven rebounds and four steals. Mia Grant posted six points. Trinity LeBeaux had 13 rebounds and four points. 

For Tiospa Zina, Jaia Bursheim logged 13 points and 10 steals. Latice Rodlund and Maya Deutsch scored nine points apiece. Deutsch logged seven rebounds. Hannah Ziegler added seven points and five rebounds. Kami Crawford posted five points, four rebounds and three steals. 


Todd County 58, St. Francis 34

RAPID CITY — Todd County pulled away from St. Francis for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday. 

Todd County’s Lesleen Makes Room For Them recorded 24 points, 13 rebounds and four steals. Pet’a Brave added 10 points, eight rebounds and eight steals. Payton Leroy had nine points and four steals. Aleadah Wilson added five points. Skye Horse Looking posted six points and five rebounds.

For St. Francis, Leah Bad Hand finished with six points and 13 rebounds. Laila Marshall added eight points and nine rebounds. Kady Campbell finished with five points and five rebounds.


Marty 69, Oelrichs 44

RAPID CITY — Five players scored in double figures to pace Marty to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday.

Cadence Bernie finished with 22 points, nine steals and five rebounds. Rozario Zephier finished with 11 points and four steals. Zoe Waln, Gensis Patterson and Jayla Bruguier scored 10 points apiece. Patterson had seven rebounds, while Waln had six rebounds and six steals. Bruguier had five rebounds and two steals. 

For Oelrichs, Amelia Her Many Horses finished with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Isabella Her Many Horses posted 13 points and nine rebounds. Katelyn Her Many Horses had 12 points. Blanche Mousseaux had six rebounds and two points. 


Tiospaye Topa 68, Crazy Horse 18

RAPID CITY — Tiospaye Topa jumped out to a 22-5 first-quarter lead en route to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday.

Tiospaye Topa’s Leilan Bowker recorded 24 points, 11 rebounds and five steals. Pamela Meeter had 16 points, five rebounds, three steals and three 3-pointers. K’Launa Buffalo posted 12 points. Angel Benson added 10 poinst and four steals. Madison Jefferies had six points, three rebounds and three steals.

For Crazy Horse, American Moran logged nine points, five steals and five rebounds. 

 

Crow Creek 51, Dupree 48 (OT) 

RAPID CITY — Crow Creek clipped Dupree for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday.

Crow Creek’s Ronessa Sazue recorded 18 points and 13 rebounds. Cacee Adams posted 10 points. Mary Dion and DeeDrah Drapeau posted seven points apiece. 

For Dupree, Taylee Jewett logged 16 points and six rebounds. Dakota Longbrake added 10 points and four steals. Kamari Jensen and Minda Woodward scored six points apiece. Woodward had seven rebounds and five steals. Jensen added six rebounds and three steals.


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 59, Takini 18

RAPID CITY — Cheyenne-Eagle Butte cruised past Takini for a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday. 

CEB’s JaiLynn Knife finished with 14 points, five rebounds and four steals. Elisha Mendoza posted eight points and 11 rebounds. Suni Bowman tallied eight points and 10 boards. KaiLoni Johnson had five points and seven rebounds. 

For Takini, Lashae Bear Stops finished with 10 points. Alicyonna Hayes had two points and six rebounds.
