Sturgis 67, Lead-Deadwood 27

STURGIS — Sturgis coasted past Lead-Deadwood in Tuesday girls basketball action.

Sturgis’ Addy Kossler posted 17 points and Kierra Killinger totaled 12 points. Braylee Freytag, Leigha Long and Olivia Vliem scored eight points apiece. 

For Lead-Deadwood, Hennesy Mattson scored nine points. Nikiah Black scored eight points. 


Hamlin 63, Flandreau 37

FLANDREAU — Three players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 3 Hamlin to a Tuesday girls basketball win.

Hamlin’s Addie Neuendorf scored 21 points. Issie Steffensen totaled 13 points and Paxton Neuendorf added 10 points.

For Flandreau, Morgan Sheppard scored 21 points. 


Lyman 68, Sully Buttes 13

ONIDA — Jordyn Scott scored a career-high 30 points to power Class B No. 4 Lyman to a Tuesday girls basketball win.

Scott scored 30 points, hit three 3-pointers, added five assists and four steals. Bree Smart and Mak Scott scored 14 points apiece. Mak Scott grabbed 12 rebounds, dished out seven assists and added seven steals. Brooke Montgomery scored 10 points. 

Sully Buttes were not reported. 


Ipswich 53, North Central 44

IPSWICH — Gabby Wald and Marley Guthmiller combined for 35 points to power Ipswich to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Wald recorded 25 points and hit five 3-pointers. Guthmiller added 10 points and eight rebounds. Jalyssa Hutson and Tristan Geditz scored five points apiece. Geditz added five rebounds and four assists. 

For North Central, Ella Batie totaled 20 points and 11 rebounds. Amree VanderVorst posted 14 points and four rebounds.


Deubrook Area 61, Deuel 15

WHITE — Three players scored in double figures in Class B No. 8 Deubrook Area beat Deuel in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Matte Bauman led the Dolphins with 17 points, Mataya Gouws collected 13 points, Kylee Johnson had 11 points while Peyton Trooien collected seven points and 10 boards in the win.

For Deuel, Camdyn Peterreins had seven points in the loss.


Parkston 55, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 26

PARKSTON — Berkley Ziebart and Morgan Maxwell combined for 37 points to power Class B No. 5 Parkston to a Tuesday girls basketball win.

Ziebart totaled 23 points, six rebounds and four steals. Maxwell added 14 points, four assists and three rebounds. Keeara Oakley and Alexis Holzbauer scored six points apiece. 

For TDA, Kinley Spaans scored 11 points. Belle Hotchkiss had six points. Mia Reiner recorded five points and seven rebounds.


Castlewood 61, Elkton-Lake Benton 31

ELKTON — Sophia Kudrna’s 22 points powered Castlewood to a girls basketball victory over Elkton-Lake Benton in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Kudrna tallied 22 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals, Ava Ruml had 10 points and nine rebounds, Claire Horn added 10 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals, Bryn Schooley netted six points while Cydni Kudrna and Kendra Neilsen each had five points in the win.

For ELB, Charlie Thooft had 14 points and three rebounds while Jocelyn Prosch had six points in the loss.


Tri-Valley 57, Madison 47

MADISON — Hailey Sorenson’s 21 points pushed Tri-Valley past Madison in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Sorenson tallied 21 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists in the win, Rowyn Gacke had 12 points, six steals and five assists, Peyton Vogt netted eight points and three rebounds while Katrina Fluth had eight points and four rebounds in the win.

For Madison, Ella Malone tallied 13 points and three rebounds, Jaya Engels added 10 points and four rebounds, Grace Feige collected eight points and four rebounds while Logan Prostrollo netted six points, four rebounds and four steals in the loss.


Wagner 47, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 18

WAGNER — Ashlyn Koupal’s 22-point double-double powered Class A No. 7 Wagner over Mount Vernon/Plankinton Tuesday.

Koupal netted 22 points, 18 rebounds, four steals and three blocks in the win, Mateya Bruiguier had nine points while Hayden Knudsen collected five points in the win.

For MVP, Layce Bruns led with five points, Kaelyn Smith netted four points while Madalynn Lorang had three points in the loss.


Faulkton Area 48, Sunshine Bible Academy 9

FAULKTON — Faulkton Area defeated Sunshine Bible Academy in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Anika Mueller led the Trojans with 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals, Presleigh Martinmaas had 13 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists, Brooklyn Mueller collected six points, five steals and four rebounds while Austina Sorensen had four points, five steals and four boards in the win.

For SBA, Breann Thieman had five points, four rebounds and five steals while Tessa Hinman recorded four points and four steals in the loss.


Bridgewater-Emery 36, Viborg-Hurley 33

HURLEY — Bridgewater-Emery outlasted Viborg-Hurley in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Mya Dye led the Huskies with 13 points and three steals, Oakley Weber added 12 points while Macie Weber netted seven points, five boards and three steals in the win.

For VH, Olivia Hanson had 12 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, Tatum Lyons added 10 points, five steals, four boards, three assists and two blocks, while Lexie Wetering had six points in the loss.


Sioux Falls Washington 56, Yankton 24

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 3 Sioux Falls Washington routed Yankton in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Josie Biteler led the Warriors with 17 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals, Dana Harpe added 14 points, Londynn Laddusaw had six points, Jersey Peterson tallied eight points and three boards while Laya Berte netted five points and 16 rebounds in the win.

For Yankton, Eden Wolfgram had 10 points and three boards, Sabrina Krajewski tallied eight points while Brenna Elwood had six points in the loss.
