White River 45, Pine Ridge 42

RAPID CITY — Leah Carr and Page Wright powered White River to a girls basketball victory over Pine Ridge during Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Carr finished with 16 points, six rebounds, five steals and two assists, Wright collected 13 points, 10 rebounds and four steals while Adeley Morrison, Calie O’Rourke and Rania Barredo each had five points in the win.

PR’s Mia Long Visitor tallied 11 points, three rebounds and two steals, Diana Long Visitor totaled nine points and five rebounds, Baylee Bravo had eight points and five boards while Aaliyah Runs Against collected seven points and nine rebounds in the loss.


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 60, Little Wound 48

RAPID CITY — Suni Bowman’s 21 points powered Cheyenne-Eagle Butte over Little Wound during Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Bowman totaled 21 points and nine rebounds in the win, Aneisha Hayeys had eight points, Cadence Bernie collected seven points, three rebounds and three steals, Pamela Meeter tallied seven points and three steals while Raeann Moran had six points for the Braves.

For LW, Kalia Long Soldier tallied 11 points and five steals, Addison Cloud had 10 points, seven rebounds and two steals, Adriauna Skunk had seven points, three rebounds and three steals while Rihanna Little Bull netted five points in the loss.


Mahpiya Luta 75, Marty 21

RAPID CITY — Ashlan Carlow-Blount and Shania Ferguson combined for 35 points as Class A No. 1 Mahpiya Luta defeated Marty in girls basketball action at Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Carlow-Blount led the Crusaders with 19 points, six rebounds, five steals and three assists, Ferguson added 16 points, four assists and four steals, Jayden Standing Soldier tallied nine points and five boards, Peyton Knife netted seven points and five rebounds while Tahca Zephier had five points and three steals in the win.

For Marty, Zoe Waln netted eight points, four rebounds and four steals while Gabby Zephier netted five points and three rebounds in the loss.


Lakota Tech 70, McLaughlin 16

RAPID CITY — Three players combined for 48 points in Lakota Tech’s victory over McLaughlin at Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Isabella Shangreaux led with 17 points, seven rebounds and three steals, Aubrey Peil added 16 points and five steals, Lizzie Robinson netted 15 points, six rebounds, eight steals, five assists and three blocks, Addison Goings and Deandra Iron Cloud had six points apiece while Montaya Massey collected five points int he win.

For McLaughlin, C’anna White Twin had five points and five rebounds while Rylee Free tallied four points and four steals in the loss.


Rapid City Christian 67, Santee 13

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures in Rapid City Christian’s win over Santee at Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Sadie Marshall had 14 points, four rebounds and steals for the Comets, Brynn Casey added 13 points, five steals and two blocks, Nia Selfridge added 13 points, six rebounds and three steals, Emma Swanson netted seven points, three boards and three steals while Alex Love and Miley Johnson each had six points in the win.

Santee’s Miley Pike had nine points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two steals in the loss.


Crazy Horse 42, Takini 18

RAPID CITY — Lelanna Red Elk’s 24-point double-double powered Crazy Horse to a girls basketball victory over Takini at Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Red Elk posted 24 points and 12 rebounds in the win, Raleigh Yankton had six points while Taytum Banks netted seven points, six rebounds and three steals in the win.

For Takini, Myleigh Charging Cloud had 17 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and three blocks in the loss.


Dupree 50, Oelrichs 29

RAPID CITY — Maddlynn Red Bear’s 17-point double-double lifted Dupree over Oelrichs during Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Red Bear posted 17 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals in the win, Jaeshawnia Iron Hawk had 10 points and four steals while Breanna Domingo and Jada Brewer each had six points and six total steals in the win.

For Oelrichs, Cassidy Bad Heart Bull tallied eight points, eight rebounds and four steals, Nalolah Warrior added seven points, eight rebounds and six steals while LaStella Her Many Horses netted six points, 15 rebounds and five steals in the loss.


Omaha Nation (Neb.) 54, Custer 20

RAPID CITY — Desma Walker and Mikkel Parker combined for 35 points as Omaha Nation (Neb.) defeated Custer during Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Walker collected 18 points and nine rebounds in the win, Parker added 17 points and three steals, Taylece McCauley had 10 points and seven assists while Dailene Walker netted seven points and three boards in the win.

For Custer, Keira Nelson had six points, seven rebounds and two assists, Emarsyn Jaure tallied four points while Siena Schultz added four points and a steal in the loss.


Lower Brule 59, Tiospa Zina 26

RAPID CITY — Florence Charger and Larayah St. Cloud combined for 32 points as Lower Brule took down Tiospa Zina in the Lakota Nation Invitational Wednesday.

Charger led with 17 points and two assists while St. Cloud netted 15 points in the win. Ezmiah Middletent collected eight points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks while Marlee Sazue added seven points, four boards, three steals and two blocks in the win.

For TZ, Milani Smith had six points, Zitkana Cook added five points and four steals while Faith Fourstar and Harmony Rodlund each had four points in the loss.


Todd County 47, Crow Creek 31

RAPID CITY — A balanced scoring attack paced Todd County in its win over Crow Creek at Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

TC’s Trinity Bettelyoun had 10 points and five rebounds to lead the Falcons, Savanna Stands On Top added eight points, 10 rebounds and five steals, Luisa Two Eagle netted six points, 12 rebounds and six steals, Destiny Macias and Bree White Hat each had six points, including eight steals from White Hat, while Tashat LeRoy collected five points and two steals in the win.

For CC, Allison Wells netted nine points and eight rebounds, Jordyn Traversie had nine points and six rebounds with three steals, Justine Dog Eagle had six points and four rebounds while Lux Fallis added six points and eight rebounds in the loss.


Wall 60, St. Francis 27

RAPID CITY — Karmyn and Allie Kjerstad combined for 31 points in Wall’s win over St. Francis at Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Karmyn Kjerstad collected 20 points with nine steals in the win while Allie Kjerstad had 11 points, two rebounds and three steals. Brittney Walker collected five points, 14 rebounds and five steals while Brooke Diedrichs had five points in the win.

SF’s Payton Jo Red Feather had seven points and seven rebounds while Angelique Romero had seven points.


Wakpala 62, Tiospaye Topa 12

RAPID CITY — Emma Brown and Tayanna Howard combined for 37 points as Wakpala took down Tiospaye Topa during Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Brown finished with 22 points and six steals while Howard had 15 points, 14 rebounds and two steals. Miley Cadotte added eight points while Railyn Little Shield recorded nine points, seven rebounds, five steals and four assists in the win.

For TT, Avianna Pearman had five points while Lieryn Jensen brought down eight rebounds in the loss.
