Lakota Tech 64, Omaha Nation (Neb.) 59

RAPID CITY — Lakota Tech outscored Omaha Nation by 10 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Chiefs during Thursday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

For the Tatanka, Lizzie Robinson had 31 points, nine rebounds, seven steals and three assists, Amelia Shangreaux added 22 points while Isabella Shangreaux had seven points, nine rebounds and four steals in the win.

For ON, Mikkel Parker led the Chiefs with 22 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals, Desma Walker added 16 points and nine boards, Taylece McCauley had nine points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals while Dailene Walker and Brycelynn Grant each had six points in the loss.


Mahpiya Luta 73, Todd County 15

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 1 Mahpiya Luta to a Thursday girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Ashlan Carlow-Blount finished with 18 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Shania Ferguson tossed in 18 points. Keegan Carlow recorded 14 points. Mya Mills added five points and four steals.

For Todd County, Tashay LeRoy finished with five points. Trinity Bettelyoun had four points and six rebounds. 


Lower Brule 74, Oelrichs 51

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures to power Lower Brule to a boys basketball win Thursday. 

Ezmiah Middletent finished with 18 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Larayah St. Cloud and Florence Charger scored 17 points apiece. Charger added seven rebounds and four steals. St. Cloud had five steals. Marlee Sazue had 10 points and seven rebounds. 

For Oelrichs, Nalolah Warrior had 14 points, six rebounds and three steals. Cassi Bad Heart Bull scored 13 points and Myleih Blacksmith added 10 points.


Marty 57, Crow Creek 36

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures in Marty’s girls basketball win over Crow Creek at Thursday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Zoe Waln led the Braves with 18 points, 13 rebounds, five steals and three assists, Kaymari Zephier added 16 points, Gabby Zephier recorded 11 points and 12 rebounds while Tanaya Rouse had six points and five rebounds in the win.

For CC, Allison Wells netted 14 points, seven rebounds and three steals, Justine Dog Eagle had 10 points and four boards, Jordyn Traversie added seven points, seven rebounds and two steals while Lux Fallis had five points and five boards in the loss.


St. Francis Indian 69, Little Wound 53

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to power St. Francis Indian over Littler Wound in girls basketball action Thursday.

Angelique Romero led the Warriors with 14 points, seven rebounds and seven steals, Erin White Lance recorded 13 points and 11 boards, Joslin Bordeaux scored 10 points and six rebounds, Jewel Bordeaux added seven points while Mareca Brave netted five points and two steals in the win.

For LW, Addison Cloud had 15 points, three rebounds and three steals, Tessa Jumping Eagle netted 10 points and four rebounds, Royale Ghost netted eight points and five boards while Danniee Marin and Ramona Tibbitts each had six points in the loss.


Crazy Horse 63, Tiospaye Topa 21

RAPID CITY — Lelanna Red Elk’s 34-points powered Crazy Horse to a girls basketball victory over Tiospaye Topa during Thursday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Red Elk finished with 34 points, nine steals, six rebounds and three assists, Taytum Banks added 14 points, eight rebounds and seven steals while Raleah Yankton tallied 11 points, 14 boards and two steals in the win.

TT’s Lieryn Jensen tallied six points and eight rebounds, Avianna Pearmen had six points, Nevah One Skunk totaled five points while Madison Jeffries had four points, six rebounds and two steals in the loss.


Wakpala 51, Takini 11

RAPID CITY — Emma Brown posted 21 points to push Wakpala over Takini in girls basketball action at Thursday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Brown scored 21 points and eight steals in the win, Railyn Little Shield added 10 points, five steals and two assists, Jailynn Kills Small had seven points, six rebounds, three steals and two blocks while Tayana Howard had six points in the win.

For Takini, MyLeigh Charging Cloud netted nine points, 12 rebounds and four steals in the loss.


Rapid City Christian 59, White River 18

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian rolled past White River in Thursday’s girls basketball action at the Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Sadie Marshall totaled 14 points, six rebounds and three steals. Nora Kieffer, Brynn Casey and Nia Selfridge scored nine points apiece. 

For White River, Page Wright scored six points. 


Custer 50, McLaughlin 29

RAPID CITY — Kylee Ellerton and Rylan Lowe combined to score 26 points to power Custer to a girls basketball win at Thursday’s Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Ellerton posted 16 points and six rebounds. Lowe added 10 points. Myley May scored eight points and Keira Nelson had five points. 

For McLaughlin, C’anna Little Eagle scored 11 points. 


Santee (Neb.) 54, Pine Ridge 39

RAPID CITY — Aubrinee Tuttle and Miley Pike combined for 30 points and 11 rebounds to power Santee, Nebraska, to a girls basketball win at Thursday’s Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Tuttle and Pike scored 15 points apiece. Tuttle added six rebounds and four steals. Pike added five rebounds. 

For Pine Ridge, Mia Long Visitor scored 15 points and added seven steals. Baylee Bravo tallied 12 points, 10 rebounds and four steals.  


Dupree 40, Tiospa Zina 36

RAPID CITY — Maddlynn Red Bear powered Dupree to a girls basketball win at Thursday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Red Bear finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals. Jaeshawnia Iron Hawk and Karyn Diver scored eight points apiece. 

For TZ, Krius Haukaas had 10 points. Ziah Crawford totaled nine points.


Wall 62, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 40

RAPID CITY — Three girls posted in double figures as Wall pulled away from Cheyenne-Eagle Butte during Thursday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Brittney Walker led the Eagles with 20 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals, Karmyn Kjerstad added 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals, Allie Kjerstad totaled 12 points and three boards while Brooke Diedrichs netted five points in the win.

For CEB, Suni Bowman led with 11 points, seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks while Cadence Bernie, Tommi Chasing Hawk, Pamela Meeter and Lexus Lawrence each had four points in the loss.
