Winner 58, Bon Homme 35

WINNER — Winner picked up a girls basketball win over Bon Homme on Tuesday. Winner’s coach Larry Aaker also recorded his 200th career win. 

Kylie Sachtjen recorded 22 points and seven steals. Ava Craven and Cici Watson scored nine points apiece. Karlee Brozik scored six points. Keelie Kuil collected six assists and three steals. 

For Bon Homme, Olivia Bures scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Jurni Vavruska posted eight points. 


Lyman 58, Colome 7

PRESHO — Class B No. 2 Lyman coasted past Colome for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Lyman’s Skyler Volmer and Mak Scott finished with 12 points apiece. Volmer had four assists and Scott added five steals. Jordyn Scott logged 11 points, six assists and six steals. Brooke Palmer scored nine points and six steals. Morgan Hoffman added six points.

For Colome, Raylynn Dehning scored three points. 


Colman-Egan 52, Howard 44

HOWARD — Colman-Egan clipped Howard for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Colman-Egan’s Kaylee Voelker finished with 24 points and hit five 3-pointers.

Howard’s Abby Aslesen and Tana Hoyer scored nine points apiece. Liz Albrecht added eight points. 


Tea Area 75, Brookings 37

TEA — Katie Vasecka powered Class A No. 3 Tea Area to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Vasecka finished with 34 points, 13 rebounds, seven 3-pointers, four assists and four steals. Mara Grant logged 13 points, nine steals and seven rebounds. Haidyn West and Ellie Clayberg scored 11 points apiece. Miah Weber had six points. 

For Brookings, Logan Smidt posted nine points and four rebounds. Macy Even added seven points and five rebounds. Brinleigh Mack had six points. Amari Ward and Tess Burns scored five points apiece. 


Centerville 55, Gayville-Volin 34

CENTERVILLE — Class B No. 2 Centerville used a balanced scoring attack to earn a win over Gayville-Volin in Tuesday night girls basketball action. 

Lilly Eide led Centerville with 18 points, four rebounds and three assists. Althea Gust also reached double-figures with 13 points, four rebounds and four assists. 

Maia Achen led Gayville-Volin with 15 points and nine rebounds while Taylor Hoxeng finished with 12 points and four rebounds. 


Mt. Vernon/Plankinton 61, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 21

WOONSOCKET — Three players scored in double figures to pace Mt. Vernon/Plankinton to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

MVP’s Emilee Fox finished with 20 points. Reagan Rus added 14 points, while Vanessa Hoffman had 10 points and nine rebounds. Fox and Rus had seven rebounds apiece. 

For SCW, Kali Hofer scored seven points. Liz Boschee logged six points and five rebounds. Jaycee Baruth posted four points and five rebounds. 


Waubay/Summit 60, Ipswich 41

IPSWICH — Eva Benike and Faith Larson combined for 30 points as Waubay/Summit picked up a road win over Ipswich in Tuesday night basketball action. 

Larson powered Waubay/Summit with 17 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists and seven steals. Benike added 13 points, five rebounds and four assists. Aubrey Strang finished with seven points while Peyton Rumpza and Madison Zirbel each chipped in with six points. 

Bri Geditz led Ipswich with 11 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals. Marley Guthmiller pumped in 10 points, corralled nine rebounds while having three assists and four steals. Anna Nierman and Tristan Geditz combined to score 13 points for Ipswich.


McCook Central/Montrose 52, Chester 38

CHESTER — Three players scored in double figures to pace McCook Central/Montrose to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

MCM’s Abby Wagner had 13 points and nine rebounds, while Carly Katzer and Cami McGuire scored 11 points apiece. 

Chester’s Emmerson Eppard finished with 15 points and six rebounds, while Jacy Wolf added 11 points and four assists. Katelyn Schut had seven rebounds and three steals. 


Vermillion 61, Tri-Valley 27

VERMILLION — Class A No. 5 Vermillion picked up a girls basketball win over Tri-Valley on Tuesday.

Vermillion’s Brooke Jensen scored 17 points. Taylor Reuvers scored 13 points, while Chandler Cleveland added 12 points. 


Sisseton 76, Redfield 25

REDFIELD — Class A No. 2 Sisseton used a big night from Krista Langager to earn a win over Redfield in girls basketball action Tuesday. 

Langager powered Sisseton with 38 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Emmalee Nielsen also reached double figures with 10 points while Hannah Leverson added eight points. Chloe Langager added eight points and seven rebounds for Sisseton. 

Katie Rozell paced Redfield with 14 points and five rebounds. Chloe Zens finished with five points while Charli Jungwirth and Hayden Gall combined to score five points for the Pheasants. 


Harding County 60, Hettinger-Scranton, N.D., 36

HETTINGER, N.D. — Harding County picked up a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Harding County’s Claire Verhulst posted 16 points, four 3-pointers and three steals. Jaelyn Wendt posted 13 points and 11 assists. Bailey Verhulst and Kelsi Costello had nine points apiece. Costello had five rebounds. Bailey Verhulst added five rebounds and four steals. 


De Smet 53, Deuel 31

CLEAR LAKE — De Smet picked up a girls basketball win over Deuel on Tuesday.

De Smet’s Megan Dylla finished with 18 points and hit four 3-pointers. Hazel Luethmers scored 17 points. Alyssa Asleson scored seven points. Mirra Beck had five points.

For Deuel, Camdyn Peterreins had 12 points. Josie Andersen logged seven points. Jaycee Hourigan added six points.
