Centerville 77, Wall 47

PARKSTON — Class B No. 2 Centerville coasted past Class B No. 1 Wall for a girls basketball win on Friday at the Parkston Classic. 


Beresford 65, Parker 42

BERESFORD — Ella Merriman and Lily Seivert combined for 49 points as Beresford earned a win over Parker in girls basketball action Friday,

Merriman pumped in a game high 34 points while Seivert notched 15. Sophomore Harley Koth chipped in with eight points. 

Parker Lessman led Parker with 17 points while Katie Bialas also reached double-figures with 10 points. 


Hanson 63, Irene-Wakonda 31

HANSON — Four players scored in double-figures as Hanson cruised to a win over Irene-Wakonda in girls basketball action Friday. 

Alyssa Moschell led Hanson with 17 points while Taziah Hawkins pumped in 15 points. Eliza Oltmanns had 13 points and five steals  while Kylie Haiar had 10 points and five rebounds. 

Quinn McDonald, Madison Orr and Emma Logue each scored six points to lead Irene-Wakonda. 

 

Parkston 51, Dakota Valley 50

 PARKSTON — The Parkston girls improved to 6-0 by edging Dakota Valley at the Parkston Classic on Friday.

Keeara Oakley led Parkston with 15 points and nine rebounds while Lauren Ziebert had 10 points. Gracie Oakely and Berkley Ziebart each finished with nine points while Mya Thuringer chipped in with eight points.

Stats for Dakota Valley were not reported.

Kimball/White Lake 61, Lower Brule 34

HURON — A big game from Harley Namanny helped Kimball/White Lake earn a win over Lower Brule at the Huron Classic on Friday. 

Namanny paced Kimball/White Lake with 25 points and seven rebounds. Madison Meier also reached double-figures with 12 points and two rebounds. Lindy Kiehn added eight points and 14 rebounds for KWL. 

Kaitlyn Thompson paced Lower Brule with nine points and six rebounds. Lael Middletent added nine points, a rebound and an assist while Shante Walters chipped in with seven points and three rebounds. 


Burke 50, Colman-Egan 47

HURON — A balanced scoring attack helped Burke knock off Colman-Egan in girls basketball action Friday at the Huron classic. 

Kailee Frank posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds to pace Burke. Cecily Geaghan finished with 13 points and four rebounds while Paige Bull added eight points. Piper Hanson added nine points and Emmie Hausmann chipped in with six points. 

Brynlee Landis led Colman-Egan with 19 points and Jolie Flatten added 10 points for the Hawks. 


Chester 48, Jones County 22

HURON — Emmerson Eppard and Jacy Wolf combined for 41 points as Chester defeated Jones County on Friday at the Huron Classic. 

Eppard powered Chester with 24 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Wolf added 17 points, three steals and three rebounds. Katelyn Schut chipped in with five points and six rebounds. 

Jacey Jensen led Jones County with 15 points and three rebounds. 


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 48, De Smet 45

HURON — A balanced scoring attack helped Sanborn Central/Woonsocket edge De Smet Friday at the Huron Classic. 

Kennadie Ochsner powered Sanborn Central/Woonsocket with 16 points and five rebounds. Liz Boschee added eight points and five rebounds. Jaycee Baruth had seven points while Makenzie Schley and Kamryn Ochsner combined for 11 points. 

Hazel Luethmers came off the bench to lead De Smet with 19 points and seven rebounds while Alyssa Asleson had nine points and five rebounds. 


Warner 56, Deubrook Area 51

HURON — Four players reached double-figure scoring as Warner defeated Deubrook Area in girls basketball action Friday at the Huron Classic. 

Lauren Marcuson powered the Monarchs with 14 points and ten rebounds. Ava Nillson added 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals. Stacia Carda and Kyra Marcuson each chipped in 10 points for Warner. 

Deubrook Area was led by Kadence Bowne who had 16 points, four rebounds and a steal. Kylee Johnson finished with 13 points and Mataya Gouws had 11 points and two rebounds. 

Lyman 54, James Valley Christian 47

HURON — Three players scored in double-figures as Lyman outlasted James Valley Chrisitian in girls basketball action Friday at the Huron Classic. 

Mak Scott led Lyman with 22 points and five rebounds. Skyler Volmer finished with 13 points and Brooke Palmer chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds. 

Alexa Goertz led James Valley Christian with 16 points. Kaylie Robinson added 15 points and six rebounds.




Iroquois/Lake Preston 48, Highmore-Harrold 47

HIGHMORE — Three players reached double-figures as Iroquois/Lake Preston knocked off Highmore-Harrold in girls basketball action Friday afternoon. 

Hadlee Holt posted a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds. Kera Dubro hit the game-winner and finished with 11 points and seven rebounds. Adison Moore chipped in with 11 points. 

Kendall Cermak paced Highmore-Harrold with 19 points and seven rebounds. Addison McDonnell added 12 points and five rebounds. 


Wagner 51, Avon 34

WAGNER — Ashlyn Koupal’s double-double helped Wagner pick up a win over Avon in girls basketball action Friday. 

Koupal led all scorers with 18 points while adding 16 rebounds and six assists. Macy Koupal added 13 points, five rebounds and six assists. Lydia Yost chipped in with eight points and four rebounds.

Courtney Sees led Avon with 16 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Kinley Doom added eight points and six rebounds for Avon. 

 

Howard 48, Faulkton Area 35

HURON - Abby Aslesen’s double-double helped Howard earn a win over Faulkton Area in girls basketball action Friday night.

Aslesen powered the Tigers with 25 points, 12 rebounds, an assist and a steal. Dakota Spader added seven points and two rebounds. Elizabeth Albrecht and Ann Connor each chipped in with four points. 

Kelli Stoecker led Faulkton Area with nine points, nine rebounds and a steal. Olivia Hadrick added nine points and three rebounds for Faulkton Area. 

Rapid City Stevens 68, Rapid City Central 58

RAPID CITY — Three players reached double-figures as Rapid City Stevens knocked off Rapid City Central in girls basketball action Friday. 

Taaliyah Porter’s double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds powered the Raiders. Finley Love added 18 points, two rebounds and a steal while Isabell Higgins chipped in with 12 points, three rebounds, an assist and two steals. 

Leah Landry paced the Central girls with 16 points and seven rebounds. Villique Fallis added 12 points and three rebounds while Aaliyah Jones scored 12 points and grabbed three rebounds.
