Feb. 10 Girls Basketball Roundup - Mataya Ward paces Belle Fourche past Hanson

Belle Fourche 55, Hanson 40 

ALEXANDRIA — Mataya Ward and Sloan Young combined for 40 points to pace Belle Fourche to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Ward scored a game-high 28 points and Young added 12 points.

Hanson’s Taziah Hawkins finished with 17 points, while Eliza Oltmanns added 11 points and six rebounds. Alyssa Moschell recorded six rebounds and Cadence Jarding added four assists. 


Chester 62, Colman-Egan 39 

CHESTER — Three players scored in double figures to pace Chester to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Chester’s Emery Larson had 16 points and seven rebounds. Jacy Wolf added 15 points. Emmerson Eppard added 13 points and 12 boards. Brooklyn Holman had seven rebounds.

Colman-Egan’s Brynlee Landis had 14 points. 


Ipswich 43, Waverly-South Shore 29

WARNER —- A balanced scoring attack helped Ipswich pick up a win over Waverly in girls basketball action Saturday. 

Jalyssa Hutson led Ipswich in scoring with nine points. Tristan Geditz scored three points but had 11 rebounds and seven assists. Kaylin Onken also scored nine points while Briana Geditz scored eight points 

Capri Schroeder and Emily Heuer each scored eight points to lead Waverly-South Shore. 


Sioux Valley 83, Parker 50

PARKER — Three players reached double-figures as Sioux Valley ran past Parker in girls basketball action Saturday. 

Talya Vincent led the Cossacks with 26 points and six assists. Isabelle Bloker connected on six 3-pointers and tallied 18 points. Kailey Cradduck finished with 16 points and eight rebounds. Jada Knutson and Keyra Kruse combined for six points and 15 rebounds. 

Meah Wright led Parker with 10 points and six rebounds. Katie Bialas added eight points and five rebounds while Parker Lessman chipped in with eight points and eight assists. 


Garretson 66, Elkton-Lake Benton 60

GARRETSON — Garretson clipped Elkton-Lake Benton in girls basketball action on Saturday.

Garretson’s Sydney Olson posted 21 points, six rebounds and three steals. Jordyn Williams had 20 points, seven steals and four assists. Tayler Benson had 11 points, seven steals and five assists. Adi Fink logged 10 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Kylie Ramlo poured in a game-high 30 points and added eight rebounds. Tevan Erickson had 18 points and five steals. 


Rapid City Stevens 66, Harrisburg 61 (OT)

HARRISBURG — Rapid City Stevens edged Harrisburg for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Stevens’ Taaliyah Porter logged a 30-point, 15-rebound double-double. 

Harrisburg’s Abby Flanagan finished with 17 points, while Kinley Lawrenson had 13 points. Jaylee Hofer added 10 points.
