Andes Central/Dakota Christian 53, Kimball/White Lake 43

NEW HOLLAND — Andes Central/Dakota Christian used a 20-11 fourth quarter to secure a girls basketball win on Thursday.

ACDC’s Mahpiya Irving logged 16 points, while Nadia VanZuidam had 13 points and four rebounds. Josie Brouwer logged 11 points and six rebounds Halle Olson collected six rebounds and six blocked shots. 

KWL’s Harley Namanny logged 21 points and five rebounds. Ryann Nielsen logged 12 points and three assists. Lindy Kiehn posted five rebounds. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 52, Wolsey-Wessington 49 

HITCHCOCK — Hitchcock-Tulare edged Wolsey-Wessington for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Hitchcock-Tulare’s Katelyn Schroeder recorded 18 points and scored her 1,000th career point. Gracyn Bixler had 12 points. Rebecca Huizenga and Cambree Hoekman had eight points apiece.

Wolsey-Wessington’s Payton Kemnitz logged 21 points and Shae Uttecht scored 16 points. Lainey Uttecht added 11 points. 


Ethan 59, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 32

MITCHELL — Ethan’s Ava Lingemann nailed 12 3-pointers in a girls basketball win on Thursday. She finished with 38 points.

The 12 3-pointers tied Crow Creek’s Ashley Ross record for the most made 3-pointers in a South Dakota girls basketball game. Ross hit 12 3-pointers in 2005. 

 

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 41, Iroquois/Lake Preston 39

FORESTBURG — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket clipped Iroquois/Lake Preston for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

SCW’s Kam Ochsner finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. Kara Wormstadt added eight points, while Kenna Ochsner had seven points and eight rebounds. 

ILP’s Hadlee Holt recorded 11 points and six rebounds. Kera Dubro posted eight points. Adison Moore scored seven points and four steals. Faith Steffensen posted eight rebounds and four steals.


Harding County 65, Hulett, Wyo 18

BUFFALO — A balanced scoring attack helped Class B No. 3 Harding County run past Hullett, Wyoming in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Kelsi Costello paced Harding County with 15 points. Claire Verhulst scored 11 points for the 16-0 Ranchers. Jaelyn Wendt added eight points as 11 different Rancher players reached the scoring column. 

Natalee Harrison led Hulett with 14 points. 


Howard 63, Viborg-Hurley 56 (OT)

VIBORG — Abby Aslesen’s big night helped Howard slip past Viborg-Hurley in girls basketball action Thursday.

Aslesen led Howard with 33 points and 11 rebounds. Liz Albrecht added 12 points and five rebounds. Ann Connor corralled 15 rebounds and Tana Hoyer chipped in with eight points. 

Kendra Gilbert led Viborg-Hurley with 14 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Charley Nelson added 14 points and seven assists while Tatum Lyons scored 13 points and grabbed four rebounds. 

 

McCook Central/Montrose 61, Madison 56

SALEM — McCook Central/Montrose held off Madison for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

MCM’s Abby Wagner logged 14 points and seven rebounds. Cami McGuire recorded eight points and five steals. Mya Morrison, Carly Katzer and Mandi Schock scored seven points apiece. Ashtyn DeKnikker and Natalie Lueth scored six points apiece. Lueth had eight rebounds. 

Madison’s Aubrey Nelson posted 20 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. Callie McDermott added 17 points, three rebounds and three assists. Ella Peterreins had nine points and five rebounds. Karley Lurz added six points. 

 

Canistota 53, Irene-Wakonda 32

CANISTOTA — Canistota hit nine 3-pointers en route to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Canistota’s Natalie Becker had 13 points, nine rebounds and three 3-pointers. Kayla Papendick posted 14 points, six rebounds and five steals. Bailey Spicer added six points. Allison Leber recorded five points and four rebounds.

IW’s Mady Peterson posted 13 points and three 3-pointers. Kaitlynn Mellem had six points and seven rebounds. Madison Orr had eight points, five rebounds and three assists. Quinn McDonald had six rebounds and three points. 

 

Milbank 60, Webster Area 37

MILBANK — A balanced scoring attack propelled Milbank past Webster Area in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Isabella Anderson led Milbank with 14 points, two rebounds and seven steals. Claire Snaza had 12 points and two rebounds. Tyra Berry also added eight points as nine different Milbank players scored. 

Peyton Snell led Webster Area with 11 points, three rebounds and three steals. 


Elkton/Lake Benton 49, Deubrook Area 26

DEUBROOK — A balanced scoring attack helped Elkton/Lake Benton earn a road win over Deubrook Area in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Kylie Ramlo led Elkton/Lake Benton with 19 points. Tevan Erickson and Charlie Thooft each had 11 points for Elkton/Lake Benton. 

Mataya Gouws led Deubrook Area with 11 points. Kyarra Blum and Kadence Bowne each had five points for the Dolphins. 

 

Sioux Valley 58, Garretson 35

VOLGA — Three players reached double-figure scoring as Sioux Valley easily got past Garretson for girls basketball win Thursday night. 

Kailey Cradduck powered Sioux Valley with 15 points and nine rebounds. Talya Vincent added 16 points and four assists while Isabelle Bloker had 11 points, four rebounds and a blocked shot. 

Jordyn Williams led Garretson with 13 points and Tayler Benson chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds. 

 

Menno 51, Freeman Academy/Marion 40

MENNO — A balanced scoring attack helped Menno pick up a win over Freeman Academy/Marion in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Ashton Massey led Menno with 17 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals. Lexie McNinch finished with 11 points and seven rebounds. Nora Robb had seven points, three rebounds and three steals while Ellyana Ulmer had seven points and five rebounds. 

Freeman Academy/Marion stats were not reported. 


Sully Buttes 56, Faulkton Area 51

ONIDA — Three players scored in double-figures as Sully Buttes edged Faulkton Area in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Stevie Wittler powered Sully Buttes with 28 points, five rebounds, two assists and four steals. Olivia Olson finished with 11 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Addison Chicoine chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds and four steals. 

Carley Cotton led Faulkton Area with 32 points, four rebounds, and five steals. Presleigh Martinmaas had 10 points and Kelli Stoecker added seven points and three steals. 


Potter County 57, Ipswich 42

IPSWICH — Big nights from Zoe Meinke and Kayden Cronin helped Potter County earn a road win over Ipswich in girls basketball action Thursday

Meinke continued her hot shooting making five 3-pointers on her way to a game high 19 points. Meinke also added four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Cronin finished with 12 points and 19 rebounds to go along with five assists and three steals. 

Tristan Geditz, Bri Geditz, Kaylin Onkin and Jaylssa Hutson each scored seven points to lead Ipswich. 


Rapid City Christian 55, Hill City 49 

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian clipped Hill City for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Rapid City Christian’s Hayden Thorton logged 23 points, while Lydia Williams scored 11 points. Sadie Marshall had eight points and Nora Kieffer logged seven points.

Hill City stats were not reported. 


Huron 54, Sioux Falls Lincoln 32

HURON — Hamtyn Heinz and Hylton Heinz combined for 35 points to pace Huron to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Hamtyn Heinz finished with 21 points, five 3-pointers and four steals. Hylton Heinz had 14 points, five assists, five rebounds and four steals. Elizabeth Heinen added nine points and six rebounds. 

Lincoln’s Faith Kpeayeh recorded 10 points, while Kierra Lubovich had nine points and four rebounds. Ciara Velasquez posted six points and Jerzi Kool scored five points. 


Tea Area 82, Yankton 55 

YANKTON — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 5 Yankton to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Tea Area’s Katie Vasecka recorded 27 points, six rebounds, four assists, four 3-pointers and three steals. Mara Grant logged 24 points and 12 boards. Haidyn West and Ellie Clayberg had 10 points apiece. 

Yankton’s Claire Tereshinski scored 19 points, to go along with four assists and three 3-pointers. Macy Drotzmann had 14 points and five rebounds. Eden Wolfgram scored 10 points. Camryn Koletzky had five points.
