Mount Vernon/Plankinton 65, Bon Homme 45

PLANKINTON — Three players scored in double figures as Mount Vernon/Plankinton downed Bon Homme for a Region 5A girls basketball win on Tuesday.

MVP’s Emilee Fox scored 18 points, while Reagan Rus recorded 17 points. Kyia Schmidt had 14 points and Berkeley Engelland added eight points.

For Bon Homme, Erin Heusinkveld scored 13 points. Kenadee Kozak finished with nine points. Stacy Gilbert posted six points, while Jurni Vavruska and Olivia Bures scored five points apiece. 


Lakota Tech 69, Bennett County 42

MARTIN — Shania Ferguson had a career night in Region 7A girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Ferguson poured in 44 points and nailed eight 3-pointers, both school records. She also became the single season scoring record holder, surpassing Tobi Carlow from the 2021-22 season. 

Daisy Red Hawk had six points and Isabella Shangreaux added five points for Lakota Tech.

Amia Cottier led Bennett County with 16 points. Jayden Standing Soldier logged 11 points. Madi Waln and Kayla Bryne scored five points apiece. 

 

Sioux Valley 64, Great Plains Lutheran 50

VOLGA — Three players scored in double figures to power Sioux Valley to a Region 2A girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Sioux Valley’s Isabelle Bloker logged 28 points and nailed eight 3-pointers. Kailey Cradduck posted 16 points, six rebounds, six steals and four 3-pointers. Keyra Kruse logged 12 points and six rebounds. Talya Vincent had four points and five rebounds. Liberty Trygstad had five assists.

For GPL, Abby Kjenstad logged 16 points and six rebounds. Katherine Prahl had 11 points and five assists. Olivia Holman added 10 points and nine rebounds. Halle Bauer posted five points. Esta Cameron added five points and six rebounds. 


Lyman 64, Ipswich 25

PRESHO — Five players scored in double figures to power Lyman to a Region 6B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Lyman’s Mak Scott logged 21 points, five assists and five steals. Skyler Volmer recorded 17 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals. Brooke Palmer posted 14 points and three rebounds. Jordyn Scott added 12 points, seven assists and four steals. 

Ipswich stats were not reported. 


Wagner 69, Platte-Geddes 51

WAGNER — Three players scored in double figures as Wagner downed Platte-Geddes for a Region 5A win on Tuesday. 

Ashlyn Koupal led Wagner with 29 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and three blocks. Lydia Yost posted 17 points, three rebounds and six assists. Macy Koupal delivered 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists. 

Karly VanDerWerff led Platte-Geddes with 21 points, six rebounds and three steals. Hadley Hanson added 12 points, five rebounds and six assists and Cadence Van Zee added eight points. 


Rapid City Christian 51, Custer 41

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian picked up a Region 8A girls basketball win over Custer on Tuesday.

Rapid City Christian’s Hayden Thorton logged 13 points, while Abby Thomson scored 10 points. Brynn Casey had nine points, while Sadie Marshall added six points. 


Vermillion 68, Parker 34

VERMILLION — Vermillion coasted past Parker for a Region 4A girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Vermillion’s Taylor Reuvers finished with 17 points. Brooke Jensen added 15 points and scored her 1,000th career point.

Parker stats were not reported.


Flandreau 61, Clark/Willow Lake 40

FLANDREAU — Four players in double figures as Class A No. 1 Flandreau won a Region 4A girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Flandreau’s Lily Klein finished with 18 points and five rebounds. Lizzie Pavlis had 17 points and five rebounds. Claire Sheppard added 12 points and 10 assists. Sadie Iott had 11 points and eight steals. 

For CWL, Brynn Roehrich scored eight points and Shelby Begeman scored seven points.


St. Thomas More 55, Hot Springs 28

RAPID CITY — St. Thomas More picked up a Region 8A girls basketball win over Hot Springs on Tuesday.

STM’s Rachael Hyde netted 16 points, while Megan Lee added 15 points. Sloane Keszler scored seven points.

For Hot Springs, Ashlynn Elshere scored seven points. Maggie Preuss scored six points and Kenadee Maciejewski had five points. 


Winner 71, Pine Ridge 18

WINNER — Winner coasted past Pine Ridge for a Region 7A girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Winner’s Karlee Brozik logged 14 points. Keelie Kuil had 10 points, 12 steals and nine assists. Ava Craven and Cici Watson posted nine points apiece.

Pine Ridge’s Mia Long Visitor and Sierra Black Bull scored five points apiece. 


Hanson 62, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 18

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson downed Sanborn Central/Woonsocket for a Region 5A girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Hanson’s Alyssa Moschell logged 19 points and 12 rebounds. Taziah Hawkins had 18 points, while Eliza Oltmanns added 16 points and eight rebounds. 

SCW’s Jaycee Baruth had nine points and six rebounds. Liz Boschee had five points and Kenna Ochsner grabbed five rebounds. 


Parkston 52, Chamberlain 40

PARKSTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Parkston to a Region 5A girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Parkston’s Keeara Oakley logged 21 points and nine rebounds. Mya Thuringer posted 12 points and five rebounds. Berkley Ziebart had 10 points. Lauren Ziebart added seven points and five rebounds.

For Chamberlain, Kinsey Evans had 13 points and eight rebounds. Chesney Mutziger logged eight points and seven rebounds. Alexa Petersen finished with seven points and six rebounds. Jayna Handel logged seven points. 


Northwestern 50, Langford Area 40 

MELLETTE — Northwestern pulled away from Langford Area for a Region 1B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Northwestern’s Sophia Troske finished with 21 points, six rebounds and six 3-pointers. Tara Blachford had 12 points and five rebounds. Ana Ratigan added nine points and 10 rebounds. Josie Sparling logged nine rebounds and five assists. Ella Boekelheide had seven rebounds.

For Langford Area, Megan Gustafson recorded 17 points and four rebounds. Tawnee Nelson had 10 points. Paytyn Marlow logged seven points and four rebounds. Eliana Darling had seven rebounds.


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 76, Marty 44

NEW HOLLAND — Josie Brouwer powered Andes Central/Dakota Christian to a Region 5B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Brouwer tossed in a game-high 30 points and collected nine rebounds, while Halle Olson had 11 points. Gabbie Olson and Mahpiya Irving had 10 points apiece. Nadia Van Zuidam had nine points. Halle Olson added 11 rebounds, while Gabbie Olson had nine rebounds. 

Marty’s Cadence Bernie and Jayla Bruguier had 15 points apiece.

COLMAN — Colman-Egan pulled past Bridgewater-Emery for a Region 3B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Colman-Egan’s Kaylee Voelker logged 19 points, four rebounds and four 3-pointers. Brynlee Landis added 13 points. Presley Luze had nine points. Lanie Mousel recorded five points, eight rebounds and four assists. Elaina Rhode recorded eight rebounds. Anna Zwart had five rebounds.

For Bridgewater-Emery, Oakley Weber finished with 14 points, five rebounds and three 3-pointers. Summer Koch scored eight points and grabbed nine rebounds. Quinn Culhane added six points. Macie Weber had five rebounds and three points.

Howard’s Abby Aslesen logged 22 points, while Ann Connor posted 12 points.

BUFFALO — Class B No. 3 Harding County coasted past Bison for a Region 8B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Harding County’s Claire Verhulst logged 16 points and hit four 3-pointers. Kelsi Costello had 11 points. Raelee Hunsucker scored eight points. Macey Wendt scored seven points. Jaelyn Wendt and Brayden Padden had six points apiece. 

Bison’s Abigayle Thompson scored 10 points. Zoey Kopren scored five points.

FAULKTON — Highmore-Harrold held off Faulkton Area for a Region 6B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

HH’s Autumn Fallis finished with 16 points, five assists and five rebounds. Addison McDonnell posted 10 points and five rebounds. Kenidey Effling logged nine points. Jada Baloun posted six points and 10 rebounds. April Fallis had five points.

For Faulkton Area, Carley Cotton recorded 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Jaymi Senn had 10 points and seven steals. Presleigh Martinmaas had nine points and six rebounds. Kelli Stoecker had nine points and four rebounds.

Arlington’s Addalyn Steffensen logged 19 points, seven rebounds and four 3-pointers. Jaelyn Huntimer had 19 points and four rebounds. Harley Johnson added 11 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. Isabelle Steffensen finished with 11 rebounds. Jolyssa Steffensen added eight points and five rebounds.

ARLINGTON — Three players scored in double figures as Iroquois/Lake Preston edged Castlewood for a Region 2B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

For De Smet, Hazel Luethmers logged 26 points and hit four 3-pointers. Audi Currier scored six points.

CENTERVILLE — Centerville coasted past Freeman Academy/Marion for a Region 4B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Centerville’s Althea Gust finished with 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals. Keira Austin added 13 points and five rebounds. Emma Marshall logged 10 points and 12 rebounds. Izzie Eide had six points.

EPJ’s Cera Schmitz logged 13 points and grabbed four rebounds. Kaitlyn VanRoekel posted 10 points. Bentlee Kollbaum had nine points and eight rebounds. Ashley Brewer added six points and eight rebounds.
