Ethan 52, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 34

ETHAN — Class B No. 4 Ethan pulled away from Class B No. 7 Sanborn Central/Woonsocket for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Taziah Hawkins and Sadie Mueller scored 14 points apiece. Hawkins also scored her 1,000th career point. Macie Dean added 11 points, while Rachel Klock and Marissa Storm scored five points apiece.

For SCW, Liz Boschee scored 10 points and Addison Bartholow scored eight points. Lainey Goertz had seven points and Maci Edwards added six points. 


Hamlin 39, Milbank 36

HAYTI — Class A No. 2 Hamlin outlasted Milbank for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Hamlin’s Addie Neuendorf finished with 11 points and Addie Jensen added 10 points. Issie Steffensen recorded eight points and Sarita Stevenson scored seven points.

For Milbank, Belle Pauli scored 14 points. Adison Pauli had eight points, while Avery Schuneman and Anna Neugebauer scored five points apiece. 


Dupree 50, Timber Lake 49

DUPREE — Dupree clipped Timber Lake for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Dupree’s Jaeshawnia Iron Hawk and Maddlynn Red Bear scored 17 points apiece. Breanna Domingo scored seven points.

For TL, Kate Biegler, Josie Boldt and Kylie Lawrence finished with nine points apiece. Autymn Red Bear had eight points. Ruby Maher scored six points. 


Gregory 48, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 44

GREGORY — Gregory clipped Mount Vernon/Plankinton in Tuesday girls basketball action.

Gregory’s Asia VanDerWerff finished with 23 points and Dani VanDerWerff added 15 points. Regan Graesser posted five points.

For MVP, Taryn Hegg totaled 16 points and Madalynn Lorang scored 12 points. Kaelyn Smith scored six points. 


Wagner 71, Hanson 45

ALEXANDRIA — Class A No. 4 Wagner coasted past Hanson for a Tuesday girls basketball win.

Wagner’s Ashlyn Koupal totaled 24 points, seven rebounds, six blocked shots and five assists. Hannah Holzbauer added 11 points and five rebounds. Braxton Nedved had 10 points, nine rebounds and six steals. Ravyn Medricky posted nine points, 12 rebounds and four steals. 

For Hanson, Ava Doyle recorded 11 points and seven rebounds. Lacey Easton and Paige Kayser scored eight points apiece. Rylee Furgeson totaled seven points. 


Parkston 54, McCook Central/Montrose 46

SALEM — Keeara Oakley and Berkley Ziebart powered Class B No. 2 Parkston to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Oakley finished with 23 points, six rebounds and four steals. Ziebart added 14 points, four rebounds and three steals. Morgan Maxwell totaled eight points and four rebounds. Lexi Schoenfelder had six points.  

For MCM, Ella DeKnikker scored 13 points. Cami McGuire added 12 points and three rebounds. Ashtyn DeKnikker totaled six points. 


Vermillion 74, Beresford 56

VERMILLION — Taylor Reuvers powered Vermillion to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Reuvers finished with 37 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists.

Beresford’s Ella Merriman totaled 26 points. 


Castlewood 55, De Smet 47

CASTLEWOOD — Three players scored in double figures to pace Castlewood to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Castlewood’s Sophia Kudrna finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Ava Ruml totaled 12 points and 17 rebounds. Claire Horn added 10 points and three assists. Cydni Kudrna posted six points and four rebounds. Kayla Goens scored six points.

For De Smet, Hazel Luethmers finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Megan Dylla and Adalyn Gross had eight points apiece. Audi Currier scored six points and grabbed seven rebounds. 


Chester 56, Parker/Marion 32

CHESTER — Jacy Wolf and Katelyn Schut combined for 30 points to power Class B No. 8 Chester to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Wolf finished with 14 points and six rebounds. Schut added 16 points and eight rebounds. Gracie Mersch and Emmerson Eppard scored eight points apiece. 

Parker/Marion stats were not reported.


North Central 57, Aberdeen Christian 31

BOWDLE — Ella Batie’s 18 points powered North Central over Aberdeen Christian in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Batie led the Thunder with 18 points in the win, Amree Vander Vorst added 13 points, Tylee Vander Vorst recorded nine points while Alaina Dosch had five points.

For AC, Jacie Fogarty led the Knights with 10 points while Jolie Fogarty added eight points in the loss.


Waubay-Summit 60, Northwestern 47

MELLETTE — Three players scored in double figures to power Waubay-Summit to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Waubay-Summit’s Addison Heinje finished with 20 points and Brynlee Amdahl had 15 points. Caley Boik scored 13 points. Peyton Rumpza scored seven points and Liza Purdy had five points.

For Northwestern, Ashley Haven scored 15 points. Breelyn Satter finished with 13 points and three 3-pointers. Tara Blachford added six points. 


Ipswich 44, Leola/Frederick Area 34

IPSWICH — Ipswich held off Leola/Frederick Area for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Ipswich’s Anna Nierman and Gabby Wald finished with nine points apiece. Marley Guthmiller recorded eight points and eight rebounds. Kalynn Oban scored six points.

For LFA, Kalyce Achen scored 10 points and grabbed eight boards. Eden Podoll totaled nine points and seven rebounds. Arabella Clark scored six points and grabbed nine rebounds. Kaitlyn Mueller had six points and six rebounds. 


Warner 46, Faulkton Area 29

FAULKTON — Kaydee Mackner and Jaycee Jung combined for 28 points to pace Warner to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Mackner finished with 17 points, five rebounds, three steals and three 3-pointers. Jung added 11 points and six rebounds. MaKenna Leidholt totaled four points and 11 rebounds. Miah Leidholt had six points and seven rebounds. Tatum Hanson recorded six points. 

For Faulkton Area, Anika Mueller had 10 points and seven rebounds. Brooklyn Mueller posted eight points and 10 rebounds. Presleigh Martinmaas finished with four points, 10 rebounds and six steals. 


Highmore-Harrold 61, Sunshine Bible Academy 10

HIGHMORE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Highmore-Harrold to a Tuesday girls basketball win.

HH’s Whitley Baloun totaled 16 points and five steals. Jada Baloun added 12 points. Autumn Fallis recorded 10 points, six rebounds and four assists. 

No stats were reported for SBA. 


Deubrook Area 59, Madison 33

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures to power Deubrook Area to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Deubrook Area’s Mataya Gouws recorded 17 points and eight rebounds. Kendallyn Schmit had 12 points and three rebounds. Matte Bauman totaled 10 points and 13 rebounds. Peyton Trooien had six points and Neely Gustad totaled nine steals.

For Madison, Collins Nielsen finished with six points. Jordyn Schmidt finished with five points.


Sisseton 56, Britton-Hecla 30

BRITTON — Three players scored in double figures to power Sisseton to a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Piper Langager finished with 23 points, while Fallon Hawkins added 13 points and three 3-pointers. Saylor Langager had 10 points. 

For BH, Daynika Zuehlke finished with 11 points and Chellon Pruitt scored nine points.


Sioux Falls Washington 67, Brookings 45

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to power Class AA No. 3 Sioux Falls Washington to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Dana Harpe finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Josie Biteler added 17 points, seven assists and four steals. Rylan Kennett totaled 10 points and five assists. Layla Berte had six points and 10 boards. 

For Brookings, Sloan McLagan totaled 21 points and four 3-pointers. Julia Burns had 11 points and five rebounds. Tessa Connot had eight points.
