Sioux Falls Christian 70, Sisseton 62 

MADISON — Class A No. 4 Sioux Falls Christian outlasted Class A No. 1 Sisseton for a girls basketball win at the Dak-XII/NEC Clash on Saturday.

Sioux Falls Christian’s Avery Reitz scored 15 points and Aubrie VanBeek posted 13 points. Maya Nelson scored 10 points.

Sisseton’s Krista Langager had 15 points. Emmalee Nielsen had 14 points and Hanna Leverson scored 12 points. 


Wagner 66, Irene-Wakonda 28 

WAGNER — Ashlyn Koupal and Macy Koupal combined for 40 points and 24 rebounds to power Wagner to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Ashlyn Koupal logged 27 points, 17 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Macy Koupal added 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals. Lydia Yost recorded 16 points and four rebounds. Braxton Nedved had six points. 

Irene-Wakonda’s Mady Peterson posted 11 points. Madison Orr added six points and nine rebounds. Kaitlynn Mellem had six points and five rebounds. Quinn McDonald had five points and three boards. 


Winner 71, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 18

WINNER — A balanced scoring attack helped Winner roll past Cheyenne-Eagle-Butte in girls basketball action Saturday. 

Ava Craven led Winner with 16 points. Karlee Brozik had a breakout game with 12 points while Lilly Barfuss chipped in with 10 points. 

Tiana Johnson led Cheyenne-Eagle Butte with 14 points. 


Lyman 42, Herreid/Selby Area 25

HIGHMORE — Class B No. 5 Lyman pulled away from Herreid/Selby Area for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Lyman’s Jordyn Scott recorded 16 points and three rebounds. Mak Scott added 11 points and five rebounds. Skyler Volmer finished with eight points, nine rebounds and five assists. Brooke Palmer posted seven points, seven rebounds and four steals. 

Herreid/Selby Area stats were not reported. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 44, Groton Area 22

ELK POINT —  A balanced scoring attack helped Elk Point-Jefferson pick up a win over Groton Area in girls basketball action Saturday. 

Cera Schitz paced EPJ with 12 points and eight rebounds. Ashley Brewer pumped in 11 points and grabbed five rebounds. Kaitlyn Van Roekel added nine points, three rebounds, four assists and four steals for Elk Point-Jefferson. 

Jerica Locke led Groton Area with eight points and six rebounds. 

 

Northwestern 54, Waubay-Summit 45

MELLETTE — Three players scored in double-figures as Northwestern picked up a win over Waubay-Summit in girls basketball action Saturday.

Ana Ratigan led Northwestern with 16 points and nine rebounds. Ashley Haven dropped 14 points and corralled 13 rebounds. Tara Blachford added 16 points, five rebounds and three assists. 

Eva Benike led Waubay/Summit with 14 points while Aubrey Strang and Kayce Berger each chipped in with eight points. 


Madison 61, Tiospa Zina 49 

MADISON — Madison used a 27-3 second quarter to help secure a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Madison’s Audrey Nelson finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Lydia Nelson recorded 13 points. Ella Peterreins had eight points and four rebounds. Karley Lurz recorded six points and four rebounds. Callie McDermott had six points. Jaya Engels logged five rebounds and four points. Taneaja John had eight rebounds.

Tiospa Zina’s Maya Deutsch finished with 17 points and seven rebounds. Caden Smith posted 13 points and five rebounds. Journey Halle recorded 12 points and 11 rebounds. 


Arlington 69, Great Plains Lutheran 45

WATERTOWN — Four players scored in double-figures as Arlington earned an impressive road win over Great Plains Lutheran in girls basketball action Saturday. 

Addalyn Steffensen powered Arlington with 16 points. Jaelyn Huntimer added 15 points. Harley Johnson and Jolyssa Steffensen each scored 12 points for the Cardinals. 

Abby Kjenstad led Great Plains Lutheran with 12 points. 


Florence/Henry 47, Hanson 45

MITCHELL — A balanced scoring attack helped Florence/Henry slip past Hanson in girls basketball action Saturday at the Corn Palace. 

Taylor Watson did a good chunk of the damage with a game high 22 points. Reese Schmidt added nine points and Ashlynn Vavruska chipped in with seven points. 

Eliza Oltmanns led Hanson with 15 points and grabbed six rebounds. Kylie Haiar scored 10 points. Taziah Hawkins and Alyssa Moschell each scored nine points for Hanson. 


St. Thomas More 48, Worthington, Minn., 16

SIOUX FALLS — St. Thomas More coasted past Worthington, Minnesota, for a girls basketball win at the Sanford Pentagon Heritage Classic on Saturday.

St. Thomas More’s Alexa Scheer finished with nine points and three rebounds. Brynn Donnelly recorded seven points. Enna Henry, Amity Strand and Leighton Scheer scored six points apiece. Sloane Keszler and Rachael Hyde scored five points apiece. 


Flandreau 58, Centerville 43

MITCHELL — A balanced scoring attack helped Flandreau pull away for a win over Centerville in girls basketball action Saturday.

Lizzie Pavlis powered the Fliers with 17 points and six rebounds. Lily Klein scored 12 points, had six rebounds and five assists. Claire Sheppard added 12 points, eight rebounds and six assists while Morgan Sheppard chipped in with 13 points.

Emma Marshall led Centerville with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Keira Austin had nine points while Thea Gust finished with seven points. 


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 67, Rapid City Central 55

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Sioux Falls O’Gorman picked up a girls basketball win on Saturday. 

O’Gorman’s Mahli Abdouch recorded 17 points and hit three 3-pointers. Sydney Terveen posted 15 points and nine rebounds. Julia Eggert had 13 points and five rebounds. Lucy Moore posted nine points. Aweng Akoi added six points and seven rebounds.

Rapid City Central’s Lolo Carlow scored a game-high 21 points and hit three 3-pointers. Villique Fallis added 12 points. Leah Landry recorded eight points and nine rebounds. Aaliyah Jones scored six points and Tracelyn Strand had five points.
