Ethan 61, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 46

ETHAN — Class B No. 1 Ethan pulled away from Mount Vernon/Plankinton for a girls basketball win on Monday. The Rustlers improved to 16-1 with the win.

Ethan’s Marissa Storm finished with 24 points, while Ava Lingemann scored 20 points. Madeline Bartscher recorded 12 points.

MVP’s Reagan Rus recorded 16 points and Emilee Fox had 14 points. Kiya Schmidt had 12 points on four 3-pointers. 


Centerville 67, Irene-Wakonda 28 

CENTERVILLE — Izzie Eide and Althea Gust combined for 45 points to power Class B No. 2 Centerville to a girls basketball win on Monday.

Eide recorded 24 points, while Gust had 21 points and six rebounds. Lillie Eide added seven points. 

Irene-Wakonda’s Madison Orr had eight points, while Kaitlynn Mellem scored six points. 


Lyman 62, Chamberlain 38

CHAMBERLAIN — Three players scored in double figures as Class B No. 5 Lyman coasted past Chamberlain in girls basketball action Monday. 

Skyler Volmer powered the Raiders with 22 points, four rebounds and three assists. Makaylee Scott finished with 20 points and eight assists. Brooke Palmer chipped in with 10 points, three rebounds and three assists. 

Chamberlain stats were not reported.


Wakpala 76, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 39 

EAGLE BUTTE — Three players scored in double figures to power Wakpala to a girls basketball win on Monday.

Wakpala’s Tyrianna Hawk Bear scored a game-high 29 points and Raegin Yellow Earrings added 20 points. Tylene Hawk Bear chipped in with 16 points.

CEB’s Mariah Buffalo-Halfred scored nine points and Suni Bowman added eight points. Tiana Johnson and Aneisha Hayes scored seven points apiece. 


Waubay/Summit 53, Wilmot 32

SUMMIT — Two players reached double-figures as Waubay/Summit picked up a win over Wilmot in girls basketball action Monday. 

Eva Benike made eight 3-pointers and finished with a game high 29 points. Faith Larson added 13 points and Madison Zirbel chipped in with seven points. 

Addison Heinje led Wilmot with 19 points. 


Colman-Egan 56, Baltic 31

COLMAN — Colman-Egan jumped out to a 27-4 first quarter lead and picked up a girls basketball win on Monday.

Colman-Egan’s Brynlee Landis finished with 16 points and six rebounds. Kaylee Voelker added 14 points and four 3-pointers. Addison Geigle recorded nine points. Presley Luze and Elaina Rhode scored seven points apiece. Rhode had four rebounds. 

Baltic’s Baylee Breece had 11 points, eight rebounds and three 3-pointers. Caitlyn Pickett posted seven points and five rebounds. Meredith Larson had six points. 


Vermillion 71, Madison 42

VERMILLION — Vermillion used a balanced scoring attack to pick up a girls basketball win on Monday.

Vermillion’s Brooke Jensen, Brooklyn Voss and Jenaya Cleveland scored 13 points apiece. Taylor Reuvers added 11 points.
