Marty 60, Lower Brule 51 (OT)

MITCHELL — Marty outscored Lower Brule 12-3 in overtime for a girls basketball victory in Friday’s Dakota Oyate Challenge semifinals at the Corn Palace. 

Marty’s Zoe Waln finished with 24 points and Gabby Zephier added 13 points. Misty Tyndall scored 10 points and Rozario Zephier had eight points.

For Lower Brule, Marlee Sazue scored 17 points and hit five 3-pointers. Brilyn LaRoche scored 12 points on four 3-pointers. Florence Charger had nine points, while Mikenzie LaRoche and Larayah St. Cloud scored five points apiece.  


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 57, Rapid City Stevens 38

RAPID CITY — Sydney Terveen powered Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls O’Gorman to a girls basketball win over Class AA No. 4 Rapid City Stevens on Friday.

Terveen finished with 28 points, five 3-pointers, four rebounds and three steals. Ruby Moore added nine points, seven rebounds and four steals. Ellie Meyer had eight points and seven boards.

For Stevens, Hayden Thorton scored 13 points and added five boards. Marley Seumanutafa tallied 12 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Haley Falcon scored seven points and Mackenzie Schreiber had six points. 


Kadoka Area 41, Todd County 36

MISSION — Kadoka Area clipped Todd County for a girls basketball win on Friday. 

Kadoka Area’s Shaylee Porch scored 14 points and Madalyn Rock added 11 points. Charlee Richardson had five points. 

Todd County’s Trinity Bettelyoun recorded 11 points. Savanna Stands On Top netted eight points. Tashay LeRoy scored seven points. 


Huron 45, Spearfish 34

SPEARFISH — Huron’s Hylton Heinz powered the Tigers to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Heinz tossed in 37 points and hit four 3-pointers. 

Spearfish’s Adelyn Bauman and Kate Scharf scored eight points apiece. Anna Eisenbarth and Kali Reiners scored six points apiece. Tiersyn Grubb finished with five points. 


Langford Area 48, Britton-Hecla 36

BRITTON — Langford Area knocked off Britton-Hecla in girls basketball action Friday.

LA’s Paytyn Marlow led the Lions with 14 points, Alex Darling added 11 points, Josie Jensen recorded nine points while Lizzie Gustafson had six points in the win.

For BH, Chellon Pruitt led the Braves with 10 points, Koryn Jones added eight points while Daynika Zuehlke netted five points in the loss.


Parkston 65, Gregory 31

PARKSTON — Four players scored in double figures as Class B No. 2 Parkston topped Gregory in girls basketball action Friday.

Keeara Oakley led the Trojans with 16 points, seven rebounds and four steals, Morgan Maxwell added 14 points, Alexis Holzbauer had 11 points and three steals while Berkley Ziebart totaled 10 points and four assists in the win.

For Gregory, Regan Graesser had 11 points, three rebounds and three steals, Dani VanDerWerff collected nine points, five rebounds and two steals while ReNae Prokopec had five points and four rebounds in the loss.


West Central 63, Madison 33

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures as West Central took down Madison in girls basketball action Friday.

Kacey Jaton led the Trojans with 20 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals, Mackenzie Skonhovd added 13 points, four assists and three rebounds, Ellie Knight totaled 10 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and three assists while Ayla Kramer and Abbi Thornton each had six points, combining for nine assists in the win.

For Madison, Grace Feige tallied nine points, three assists and three steals, Madison Rummel had six points while Collins Nielsen collected seven points and seven rebounds off the bench in the loss.


Sioux Valley 50, Flandreau 46

FLANDREAU — Kailey Cradduck’s 25-point double-double powered Class A No. 7 Sioux Valley over Flandreau in girls basketball action Friday.

Cradduck finished with 25 points, 15 rebounds, four blocks, three assists and two steals in the win, Liberty Trygstad added 12 points, four steals and three rebounds while Talya Vincent and Amari Ward each had five points in the win.

For Flandreau, Morgan Sheppard tallied 15 points and nine rebounds, Rhegan Sheppard had 11 points, five rebounds and three assists, Hannah Krull added six points and five boards while Calla Wiese and Tenley LeBrun each had five points in the loss.


Irene-Wakonda 54, Scotland-Menno 24

IRENE — Emily Oien’s double-double lifted Irene-Wakonda to a girls basketball win over Scotland-Menno Friday.

Oien finished with 17 points and 10 steals, Maryn Lyngstad added 11 points and three steals, Ava George had eight points while Julia Sees recorded five points, nine steals, three rebounds and three assists in the win.

For SM, Emma Heckenlaible had seven points while Hope Starwalt and Lexie McNinch each had five points in the loss.


Faulkton Area 57, James Valley Christian 23

FAULKTON – Three players scored in double figures to push Faulkton Area over James Valley Christian in girls basketball Friday.

Brooklyn Mueller led the Trojans with 20 points on 4-for-4 from three-point range, adding nine rebounds and three steals, Presleigh Martinmaas added 17 points, eight rebounds, 12 steals and three assists while Anika Mueller netted 13 points and two steals in the win.

For JVC, Janiya Waldner had seven points and four steals while Rylin Wipf netted five points, eight rebounds and three steals in the loss.


Brandon Valley 62, Rapid City Central 39

RAPID CITY — Alyvia Padgett’s 25-point outing lifted Class AA No. 1 Brandon Valley over Rapid City Central in girls basketball action.

Padgett finished with 25 points and three steals, Gracie Salter added 14 points and three rebounds while Reese Condon netted six points in the win.

For RCC, Leah Landry tallied 16 points, seven rebounds and five steals, Chloe Shreve netted 15 points while Colee Kruse added eight points in the loss.
