Deubrook Area 67, Castlewood 56

CASTLEWOOD — Four players scored in double-figures as Deubrook Area earned a road win over Castlewood in Thursday night basketball action. 

Kadence Bowne led in scoring with 19 points, while Mataya Gouws pumped in 17 points. Kyarra Blum had a big night with 15 points and Matte Bauman chipped in with 10 points. 

Sopha Kudrna led Castlewood with 17 points. Presley Knecht reached double-figures with 12 points and Natalie Akin chipped in with 12 points. 


Wilmot 58, Ipswich 42

WILMOT — Wilmot’s Addison Heinje erupted for a school-record 50 points in a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Heinje finished 21-of-25 from the free-throw line.

Lyman 51, Philip 33

PRESHO — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 5 Lyman to a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Lyman’s Brooke Palmer and Mak Scott scored 17 points apiece. Palmer added eight rebounds and three steals. Scott had three blocked shots, four assists and five steals. Skyler Volmer recorded 10 points and seven rebounds. Jordyn Scott added three blocked shots, five assists and seven rebounds.

Philip stats were not reported.  


Lakota Tech 67, Pine Ridge 30 

PINE RIDGE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Lakota Tech to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Lakota Tech’s Shania Ferguson finished with 23 points, eight assists, four steals and four rebounds. Isabella Shangreaux logged 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Daisy Red Hawk added 12 points. Kaylie Robinson added six points. Layla Robinson had five rebounds, five steals and four points.

Pine Ridge stats were not reported. 


Harding County 85, Tiospaye Topa 45

BUFFALO — Five players scored in double-figures as Class B No. 3 Harding County rolled to a win over Tiospaye Topa in girls basketball action Thursday.

Kelsi Costello led Harding County with 18 points. Brayden Padden added 17 points while Bailey Verhulst contributed 15 points. Macey Wendt and Kamry Padden each scored 12 points. 

Pamela Meeter led Tiospaye Topa with 23 points. Leilani Bowker chipped in with 21 points. 


Centerville 68, Menno 29 

CENTERVILLE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 2 Centerville to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Centerville’s Keira Austin logged 15 points, while Kiylee Westra had 14 points and three rebounds. Izzie Eide posted 11 points. Lillie Eide had nine points, five assists and four rebounds. Emma Marshall added five points and seven rebounds.

Menno’s Karlie Derby had 12 points. Lexie McNinch had seven points and four rebounds. Ashton Massey finished with six points and six rebounds. 


Rapid City Christian 71, Lead-Deadwood 13

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian picked up a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Hayden Thorton and Sadie Marshall scored 13 points apiece. Shelby Burkhalter, Lydia Williams and Miley Johnson scored nine points apiece.


McLaughlin 75, Crazy Horse 13

MCLAUGHLIN — McLaughlin coasted past Crazy Horse for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

McLaughlin’s Mari Richards scored a game-high 19 points, while Blake Thompson scored 14 points. Sandee Steele had 10 points and Kimimila White Mountain had seven points. 


Iroquois/Lake Preston 56, Sunshine Bible Academy 28

MILLER — Four players scored in double figures to pace Iroquois/Lake Preston to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Faith Steffensen finished with 12 points, while Adison Moore and Rebecca Bich scored 11 points apiece. Moore had five rebounds and five assists. Hadlee Holt scored 10 points and five rebounds. Chenoa Harris scored five points.

SBA’s Betra Amare finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Abby Hinman added six points, five steals and nine rebounds. 


Madison 66, Alcester-Hudson 53

MADISON — Three players scored in double-figures as Madison defeated Alcester-Hudson in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Audrey Nelson powered Madison with 21 points and six rebounds. Karley Lurz finished with 20 points, nine rebounds, three assists and five steals. Ella Peterreins chipped in with nine points for Madison. 

Elly Doering paced Alcester-Hudson with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Emily Winquist added 12 points and five rebounds. 


Arlington 49, James Valley Christian 47

ARLINGTON — A balanced scoring attack helped Arlington slip past James Valley Christian in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Jaelyn Huntimer led Arlington with 17 points and five rebounds. Addalyn Steffesen scored 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Harley Johnson finished with nine points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. 

Kaylie Robinson led James Valley Christian with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Addison Bartholow added 12 points and 11 rebounds and Alexa Goertz finished with 10 points and five rebounds. 


Great Plains Lutheran 26, Northwestern 23

MELLETTE — Great Plains Lutheran edged Northwestern for a low-scoring girls basketball win on Thursday.

GPL’s Madeline Prohl logged seven points, while Olivia Holmen had six points. Abby Kjenstad and Esta Cameron scored five points apiece.

Northwestern’s Ana Ratigan scored 10 points. Sophia Troske had five points, while Ashley Haven had four points and nine rebounds. Ella Boekelheide posted four points and seven rebounds. Josie Sparling had four points. 


Lennox 57, Tri-Valley 49

LENNOX — Three players scored in double-figures as Lennox upended Tri-Valley in girls basketball action Thursday.

Andie Peters led Lennox with 20 points. Cari Kuyper powered in 11 points and 10 rebounds and Dani Highum scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds. 

Izzy Davey led Tri-Valley with 19 points. 


Aberdeen Central 52, Huron 39 

HURON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Aberdeen Central to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Aberdeen Central’s Taryn Hermansen posted 17 points and nine rebounds. Lauryn Burckhard added 14 points and seven rebounds. Caydi Withers finished with 10 points, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. Taylor Lyke scored five points.

Huron’s Hylton Heinz and Hamtyn Heinz scored 13 points apiece. Tatum Peterson scored five points. Elizabeth Heinen added six rebounds.
