Here’s a look at three games to watch:

Lyman vs. Flandreau

Newly-minted Class A No. 1 Flandreau will face Class B No. 5 Lyman in the nightcap.

The Fliers (17-0) are one of two remaining undefeated teams left in Class A girls basketball, with Red Cloud (17-0) also perfect. Lyman’s lone defeat was against Class B No. 4 Wall, 61-58.

The matchup features a pair of future Summit League women’s basketball players in Claire Sheppard (SDSU) and Skyler Volmer (UND).

Sheppard, a 6-foot-2 guard, became the all-time leading scorer in Flandreau girls basketball history on Tuesday. Volmer, a 5-foot-9 guard, is coming off a 22 points in a win over Chamberlain on Monday.

The Fliers are also paced by senior guard Lily Klein, who will play college basketball at Northern State University. Senior Lizzie Pavlis and junior Sadie Iott are also key contributors for the Fliers.

The Raiders also are led by sophomore Mak Scott, junior Brooke Palmer and eighth-grader Jordyn Scott.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton vs. St. Thomas More

High-scoring all-state guard Emilee Fox will headline the 7 p.m. matchup.

The future Jackrabbit recently scored her 2,000th career point, becoming the 36th girls basketball player in South Dakota history to reach the milestone. She’s coming off a 41-point performance in a 75-44 win over Dell Rapids on Tuesday.

The Titans (12-3) are also powered by Reagan Rus, who scored 20 points on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers (10-6) are coming off a 51-34 loss against Class A No. 2 Red Cloud. St. Thomas More will play West Central on Thursday.

St. Thomas More, which has one senior, is paced by juniors and Sloane Keszler.

Wall vs. Freeman

Freeman will get tested before the postseason.

The Flyers will play Class B No. 4 Wall at 5:30 p.m. at the DWU/Culver’s Classic, followed by hosting Class B No. 1 Ethan on Feb. 13. They will close the regular season at Gayville-Volin (11-5) on Feb. 15.
