St. Thomas More 54, Rapid City Christian 43

RAPID CITY — St. Thomas More pulled away from Rapid City Christian for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

STM’s Rachael Hyde finished with 16 points. Brynn Donnelly added nine points, while Leighton Scherr scored eight points. Ella Schirber and Enna Henry scored seven points apiece.

For RCC, Brynn Casey scored 20 points and hit six 3-pointers. Sadie Marshall had 11 points, while Nora Kieffer added seven points.


Clark/Willow Lake 59, Castlewood 43

CASTLEWOOD — Three players scored in double figures to pace Clark/Willow Lake to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

CWL’s Shelby Begeman totaled 14 points and 12 boards. Jenny Bevers had 12 points and three rebounds. Brynn Roehrich added 12 points and seven rebounds. Kamryn Nesheim scored seven points.

For Castlewood, Claire Horn scored 12 points. Sophia Kudrna added eight points and seven rebounds. 


Arlington 60, Deuel 44

CLEAR LAKE — Jaelyn Huntimer exploded for a 36-point double-double as Arlington defeated Deuel in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Huntimer finished with 36 points hitting 7-of-13 attempts from three-point range with 13 rebounds as well, Sony Johnson added nine points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists while Emarie Vincent totaled six points in the win.

For Deuel, Camdyn Peterreins had 20 points, 13 rebounds and four assists, Ember Morris added six points while Morgan Theisen and Graclyn Nielsen each had five points in the loss.


Lyman 57, Kadoka Area 37

KADOKA — Three players scored in double figures as Class B No. 1 Lyman pulled away from Kadoka Area for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Jordyn Scott totaled 24 points, nine steals, five rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers. Mak Scott had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Bree Smart logged 13 points and five assists. Kenzie Wagner had six rebounds and five assists. 

Kadoka Area stats were not reported. 


McCook Central/Montrose 46, Hanson 39

ALEXANDRIA — McCook Central/Montrose outlasted Hanson for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

For MCM, Cami McGuire finished with 12 points and five rebounds. Ella DeKnikker had 11 points and four rebounds. Mandi Schock totaled 10 points and eight rebounds. Jaida Skyberg totaled five points. 

Hanson’s Dana Degen and Rylee Furgeson scored eight points apiece. Fergeson added six rebounds.


Irene-Wakonda 56, Burke 47

BURKE — Three players scored in double figures to power Irene-Wakonda to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

IW’s Emily Oien finished with 19 points and Bella Healy added 12 points. Maryn Lyngstad scored 10 points and Ava George added six points. 

For Burke, Emmie Hausmann totaled 17 points. Kyrie Matucha scored nine points on three 3-pointers.  


Hamlin 51, Sioux Valley 32

HAYTI — Three players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 3 Hamlin to a girls basketball win over Class A No. 4 Sioux Valley on Tuesday. 

Hamlin’s Issie Steffensen and Addie Jensen scored 13 points apiece. Steffensen hit three 3-pointers and Jensen grabbed 15 rebounds. Addie Neuendorf added 10 points, six rebounds, three steals and three assists. Paxton Neuendorf scored nine points and Paige Stormo added six points.

For SV, Kailey Cradduck scored 10 points and added nine rebounds. Amari Ward scored nine points. 


Parkston 63, Platte-Geddes 29

PARKSTON — Berkley Ziebart scored 18 points and recorded her 1,000th career point for Class B No. 2 Parkston in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Ziebart added five assists and three rebounds. Morgan Maxwell added 12 points on four 3-pointers. Keeara Oakley totaled 10 points and seven rebounds. Alexis Holzbauer scored six points.

For PG, Kori VanDerWerff totaled 19 points and 12 rebounds. Taylor Schrank added four points and six rebounds. 


Vermillion 60, Madison 31

VERMILLION — Taylor Reuvers powered Vermillion to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Reuvers scored 29 points and recorded her 1,000th career point. Reuvers added eight steals, seven rebounds and five assists. 

Madison stats were not reported. 


West Central 68, Dakota Valley 36

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Three players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 8 West Central to a girls basketball win over Class A No. 7 Dakota Valley on Tuesday.

Kacey Jaton finished with 27 points, while Mac Skonhovd totaled 11 points. Abbi Thorton scored 10 points and Ellie Knight added 10 rebounds.

For DV, Aubree Worden finished with 16 points and three steals. Izzy Carreau finished with nine points and Jaidyn Jund had five boards. 


Centerville 68, Scotland/Menno 17

CENTERVILLE — Izzie Eide powered Class B No. 5 Centerville to a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Eide netted 30 points, added five steals and four rebounds. Peyton Hansen recorded 11 points, three rebounds and three steals. Brea Austin added 10 points, four assists and three rebounds. Lydia Austin scored nine points and dished out three assists.

For SM, Kylie Guthmiller scored seven points and Emmalyn Heckenliable had six points. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 48, Wagner 46

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson edged Class A No. 5 Wagner in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

EPJ’s Cera Schmitz totaled 18 points, three rebounds and three assists. Molly Geary had nine points, while Camryn Norris totaled eight points and nine rebounds. Makinley Hammitt added six points.

For Wagner, Ashlyn Koupal totaled 23 points, 16 rebounds, four blocks and three steals. Braxton Nedved had 12 points. Hannah Holzbauer scored six points and Ravyn Medricky added five points. 


Viborg-Hurley 35, Alcester-Hudson 29

HURLEY — Viborg-Hurley held off Alcester-Hudson for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

VH’s Olivia Hanson finished with 18 points and eight rebounds. Tatum Lyons had six points and four rebounds. Ava Marts scored six points and added seven rebounds. 

For AH, Emma Solberg had 10 points. Emily Winquist scored seven points. Skylar Hongslo posted six points and four rebounds. 


Britton-Hecla 59, Wilmot 28

BRITTON — Britton-Hecla pulled away from Wilmot for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

BH’s Daynika Zuehlke recorded 17 points, 10 steals and five assists. Chellon Pruitt scored 10 points and grabbed 21 rebounds. Maddie Micko added 10 points and six assists. Karlie Zuehlke had nine points and 13 rebounds. Koryn Jones added seven points. 

For Wilmot, Jada Cameron recorded 15 points and Kadie Reil scored five points. 


Aberdeen Roncalli 51, Faulkton Area 15

FAULKTON — Gabby Thomas and Karsyn Davis powered Class A No. 9 Aberdeen Roncalli to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Thomas finished with 15 points, five rebounds and four steals. Davis added 11 points, while Claire Crawford scored nine points on three 3-pointers. Morgan Helms totaled four points, four steals, five rebounds and five assists.

For Faulkton Area, Presleigh Martinmaas had six points and four rebounds. Brooklyn Mueller had five rebounds and three points. 


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 72, Sioux Falls Washington 35

SIOUX FALLS — Sydney Terveen powered Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls O’Gorman to a girls basketball win over Class AA No. 3 Sioux Falls Washington on Tuesday.

Terveen finished with 28 points, five assists, four 3-pointers and three rebounds. Ruby Moore added nine points, six rebounds and six assists. London Backes totaled eight points and four assists. Sadie Mehrman and Ellie Meyer scored seven points apiece. Hayden Weber scored five points.

For Washington, Dana Harpe recorded 21 points and five rebounds. Layla Berte scored five points.
