Dell Rapids 49, Flandreau 46

DELL RAPIDS — Rorie Thoreson and Jersi Schultz each poured in 17 points in Dell Rapids’ narrow victory over Flandreau in girls basketball action Friday.

Thorson and Schultz each had 17 points while Claire Witte and Elin Schoenhard each tallied six points in the win.

For Flandreau, Morgan Sheppard led the Fliers with 22 points, Aly Schepel added seven points while Calla Wiese and Rhegan Sheppard each had five points in the loss.


Rapid City Stevens 64, Rapid City Central 52

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Rapid City Stevens past Rapid City Central in Friday’s cross-town rivalry game.

Hayden Thorton tallied 13 points and two rebounds, Halle Peterson netted 12 points and five rebounds, Marley Seumanutafa added 11 points, Jessa Griswold totaled eight points, two rebounds and two steals while Finley Love had six points and three steals in the win.

For RCC, Leah Landry had 28 points, 13 rebounds and four steals, Colee Kruse had 11 points while Chloe Shreve and Niah Siqueiros each had five points in the loss.


Chester 58, Deubrook Area 48

CHESTER — Emmerson Eppard and Jacy Wolf powered Chester to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Eppard recorded 27 points, while Wolf added 15 points, five assists and five steals. 

For Deubrook Area, Mataya Gouws recorded 13 points and Kylee Johnson posted 12 points. Peyton Trooien and Matte Bauman had seven rebounds apiece. Bauman added three steals. 


Groton Area 41, Vermillion 34 

GROTON — Groton Area clipped Vermillion in girls basketball action on Friday.

Groton Area’s Taryn Traphagen finished with 12 points and eight rebounds. Jerica Locke added 10 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Rylee Dunker recorded nine points and 13 rebounds. Jaedyn Penning posted seven points and five rebounds.

For Vermillion, Lexi Hanson posted 14 points and hit four 3-pointers. Taylor Reuvers added 11 points.


Hamlin 59, Castlewood 32

CASTLEWOOD — Class A No. 3 Hamlin pulled away from Castlewood for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Hamlin’s Addie Neuendorf finished with 19 points and Issie Steffensen had 15 points. Paxton Neuendorf totaled seven points, while Addie Jensen and Paige Stormo scored six points apiece.

For Castlewood, Ava Ruml finished with eight points. Cassidy Kirwan and Sophia Kudrna scored seven points apiece. 


Lennox 56, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 22

LENNOX — Class A No. 2 Lennox rolled past Mount Vernon/Plankinton for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Andie Peters and Bergan Musser led the Orioles with 11 points apiece. Olivia Niederbaumer added nine points and five rebounds. Libby Kranz totaled seven points.

For MVP, Madalynn Lorang finished with seven points and Taryn Hegg added five points. 


Parkston 69, Winner 12

PARKSTON — Berkley Ziebart and Keeara Oakley combined for 40 points and nine rebounds to power Class B No. 4 Parkston to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Ziebart finished with 23 points and four steals, while Oakley finished with 17 points and seven rebounds. Kennedy Knippling added nine points. Morgan Maxwell had seven points and Kahris Tapio added six points.

For Winner, Kylie Sachtjen finished with seven points and three rebounds. 


Belle Fourche 48, Madison 33

MADISON — Reagan Richardson and Denali Larson powered Belle Fourche to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Richardson finished with 19 points, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. Larson added 12 points and nine rebounds. Mya Nowowiejski had nine points. Emma Nehl added eight rebounds. 

For Madison, Madison Rummell and Jordyn Schmidt finished with eight points. Schmidt added six rebounds. Jaya Engels totaled five points and three rebounds. Collins Nielsen added six rebounds and four points. 


Highmore-Harrold 39, Iroquois/Lake Preston 28

HIGHMORE — Highmore-Harrold topped Iroquois/Lake Preston in girls basketball action on Friday.

HH’s Tenley McDonnell finished with 10 points. Autumn Fallis recorded nine points and five assists, while Addison McDonnell and Elle Stagg scored six points apiece. Addison McDonnell finished with seven rebounds. Jada Baloun finished with seven rebounds and four points. 

Iroquois/Lake Preston stats were not reported. 


Irene-Wakonda 46, Hanson 41

ALEXANDRIA — Irene-Wakonda clipped Hanson in girls basketball action on Friday.

Irene-Wakonda stats were not reported.

Hanson’s Lacey Easton finished with 11 points and Hannah Easton had eight points. Hannah Easton added five rebounds. 


Rapid City Christian 65, Shiloh Christian (N.D.) 42

BISMARCK, N.D. — Three players scored in double figures to power Rapid City Christian to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Brynn Casey finished with 13 points, while Nora Kieffer and Maddie Kooiman scored 10 points apiece. Nia Selfridge had eight points. Miley Johnson and Alex Love scored seven points apiece.


Mitchell 40, Harrisburg 33 

HARRISBURG — Addie Siemsen and CeCe Morgan powered Mitchell to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Siemsen finished with 16 points and Morgan added 11 points. 

For Harrisburg, Logan Durnil had 12 points.
