Sioux Valley 57, Chester 35 

VOLGA — Amari Ward and Liberty Trygstad paced Class A No. 5 Sioux Valley to a girls basketball win over Class B No. 7 Chester on Tuesday. 

Ward finished with 17 points, six rebounds, five 3-pointers and four assists. Trygstad totaled 15 points on five 3-pointers. Kailey Cradduck scored eight points, grabbed six rebounds and added four assists. Skylar Knutson had 10 boards. Masey Top had six points. 

For Chester, Jacy Wolf scored 13 points and had four assists. Emmerson Eppard added eight points and nine rebounds. Kaitlyn Hilbelink totaled five points and eight rebounds. Katelyn Schut had six rebounds. 


Lyman 58, White River 27

PRESHO — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 1 Lyman to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Lyman’s Jordyn Scott totaled 19 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Bree Smart added 17 points, three assists and three steals. Kenzie Wagner had 10 points and five rebounds. Brooke Montgomery totaled six points, five rebounds, five steals and four assists. Mak Scott totaled five points, six rebounds and five assists.

White River stats were not reported. 


Corsica-Stickney 64, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 31 

CORSICA — Braylee Bordewyk powered Class B No. 9 Corsica-Stickney to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Bordewyk finished with 23 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and six steals. Sophie DeLange had 13 points, five assists and three rebounds. Hadynn Johnson had 12 points and 13 boards.

ACDC stats were not reported. 


Wall 69, Kadoka Area 54 

WALL — Brittney Walker powered Wall to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Walker scored a game-high 26 points. Karmyn Kjerstad and Jocelyn Bielmaier scored 13 points apiece. Allie Kjerstad added 10 points.

For Kadoka Area, Charlie Richardson had 18 points and Shaylee Porch scored 15 points. Kass Williams totaled 10 points and Madisyn Nemecek scored six points. 


Dell Rapids St. Mary 50, Castlewood 27

CASTLEWOOD — Three players scored in double figures to pace Dell Rapids St. Mary to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

St. Mary’s Layla Joe Hanson finished with 16 points and went 4-for-4 at the 3-point line. Madelyn Klein had 12 points and also went 4-for-4 at the 3-point line. Maddyn LeBrun added 10 points and six boards. 

For Castlewood, Claire Horn scored 12 points. 


Lemmon 69, Dupree 34

DUPREE — Four players scored in double figures to power Lemmon to a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Lemmon’s Izzie O’Donnell finished with 20 points and Brynn Odenbach scored 13 points. Kate Schiley added 12 points and Tenley Sonalla scored 10 points. Madison Dauwen had seven points and Chel Odenbach scored five points. 

For Dupree, Jaeshawnia Iron Hawk scored 12 points and Teagan Longbrake scored 10 points 

Maddlynn Red Bear scored nine points.


Hanson 40, Howard 36

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson clipped Howard in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Hanson’s Lacey Easton and Kendra Endorf each had nine points, including five steals from Easton and five assists from Endorf, while Ava Doyle added five rebounds for the Beaverettes.

Howard’s stats were not reported.


Beresford 64, Madison 54

MADISON — Ella Merriman’s 31-point game lifted Beresford over Madison in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Merriman finished with 31 points, eight rebounds and three steals in the win, Harley Koth added 16 points, seven rebounds and three steals while Kendra Ellis recorded seven points, five assists, four steals and three rebounds in the win.

For Madison, Jaya Engels tallied 13 points and two steals, Madison Rummel added 12 points, Collins Nielsen netted 10 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals while Logan Prostrollo had eight points and seven rebounds in the loss.


Faulkton Area 50, Aberdeen Christian 23

ABERDEEN — Three players scored in double figures to power Faulkton Area to a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Faulkton Area’s Brooklyn Mueller finished with 23 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Anika Mueller scored 14 points and added four rebounds. Presleigh Martinmaas had 13 points, five rebounds and four assists. 

For Aberdeen Christian, Sophia Eichler had seven points and nine rebounds. Jolie Fogarty and Jacie Fogarty scored six points apiece.


Milbank 57, Waubay-Summit 42

SUMMIT — Milbank defeated Waubay-Summit in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Avery Schuneman led the Bulldogs with 17 points, Anna Neugebauer added 14 points, Susie Schuneman recorded nine points while Belle Pauli and Bree Townsend each tallied seven points in the win.

For WS, Addison Heinje tallied 15 points, Kayce Berger had 11 points while Caley Boik netted seven points in the loss.


Wagner 58, Miller 36

WAGNER — Ashlyn Koupal led Class A No. 5 Wagner to a girls basketball win over Miller on Tuesday.

Koupal recorded 31 points, 14 rebounds, four steals and three assists. Ravyn Medricky added nine points and six boards. Braxton Nedved had eight points, six rebounds and five assists. 

For Miller, Kate Lichty and Jolie Palmer scored eight points apiece. Lichty added five rebounds and Palmer grabbed seven boards. Paige Werdel totaled five points, six rebounds and four assists. 


Flandreau 50, Deuel 26

FLANDREAU — Three players scored in double figures to power Flandreau to a girls basketball win over Deuel on Tuesday 

Morgan Sheppard recorded 17 points and 10 rebounds. Tenley LeBrun scored 17 points. Hannah Krull totaled 12 points and seven rebounds.

For Deuel, Graclyn Nielsen scored 15 points.


Deubrook Area 47, Tri-Valley 39

WHITE — Kylee Johnson and Peyton Trooien poached Deubrook Area to a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Johnson and Trooien scored 16 points apiece. Matte Bauman scored eight points. 

For Deuel, Hailey Sorenson scored 18 points and hit three 3-pointers. Mattie Huwe scored 10 points and Danika Fluth had seven points. 


Lennox 50, Dakota Valley 40

LENNOX — Class A No. 2 Lennox pulled away from Dakota Valley for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Lennox’s Tori Gerdes totaled 14 points and eight rebounds. Andie Peters added nine points and three assists. Karlie Bosma added six boards.

For DV, Bella Stokes recorded 18 points. Aubree Worden and Katie Bosworth scored six points apiece. Betsworth had 10 rebounds.
