Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 59, Todd County 53

EAGLE BUTTE — Cheyenne-Eagle Butte outscored Todd County 19-10 in the fourth quarter to secure a girls basketball win on Monday.

CEB’s Tiana Johnson scored a game-high 24 points, while Mariah Buffalo-Halfred tossed in 17 points. Suni Bowman scored nine points and KaiLoni Johnson added seven points. 

For Todd County, Lesleen Makes Room For Them and Payton Leroy scored 17 points apiece. 


Groton Area 49, Northwestern 45

MELLETTE — Jerica Locke and Sydney Leicht combined to score 30 points as Groton Area picked up a win over Northwestern in girls basketball action Monday. 

Locke led Groton Area with 16 points while adding seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Leicht pumped in 14 points while Jaedyn Penning added seven points and seven rebounds. 

Tara Blachford led Northwestern with 18 points and nine rebounds. Ana Ratigan scored 12 points while Ashley Haven corralled 14 rebounds. 


Milbank 66, Dell Rapids 43

MILBANK — Three players scored in double-figures as Milbank defeated Dell Rapids in girls basketball action Monday. 

Isabella Anderson led the way with 22 points. Tyra Barry also scored 20 points. Belle Pauli scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds for Milbank. 

Jersi Schultz led Dell Rapids with 12 points and three rebounds. Rorie Thoreson added 11 points for the Quarriers. 


Madison 54, Baltic 38

MADISON — A balanced scoring attack helped Madison run past Baltic in girls basketball action Monday. 

Callie McDermott led Madison with nine points and three rebounds. Audrey Nelson added nine points and nine rebounds. Three other players for Madison, Karley Lurz, Grace Feige and Ella Malone all scored six points for the Bulldogs. 

Harper Kortemeyer led Baltic with 13 points. Baylee Breece added nine points and 10 rebounds for Baltic. 


Lennox 56, Platte-Geddes 30

LENNOX — A balanced scoring attack helped Lennox run past Platte-Geddes in girls basketball action Monday.

Andie Peters led Lennox with 12 points. Teagen Sturm added eight points and Ryan Hanssen chipped in with seven points. 

Karly VanDerWerff led Platte-Geddes with nine points. Hadley Hanson added seven points for the Black Panthers.


Elk Point-Jefferson 61, Akron-Westfield, Iowa, 53

ELK POINT — Four players scored in double figures to pace Elk Point-Jefferson to a girls basketball win on Monday.

EPJ’s Cera Schmitz finished with 15 points, six assists and four 3-pointers. Ashley Brewer and Bentlee Kollbaum scored 13 points apiece. Kollbaum added four assists and four steals, while Brewer had five rebounds and three 3-pointers. Kaitlyn VanRoekel posted 12 points and six rebounds. Courtney Brewer had 10 assists and Grace Peed posted six points.
