Rapid City Stevens 62, Rapid City Central 39

RAPID CITY — Class AA No. 5 Rapid City Stevens pulled away from rival Rapid City Central for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Stevens’ Mackenzie Schreiber finished with 14 points, three rebounds and four steals. Finley Love added 12 points. Hayden Thorton and Haley Falcon had eight points apiece. Marley Seumanutafa scored seven points and Halle Peterson added five points.

For Central, Leah Landry had 15 points and seven rebounds. Olivia Pierce totaled 11 points. 


Lyman 60, Freeman 29

IRENE — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 1 Lyman to a girls basketball win at Saturday’s Blizzard Buster Classic.

Mak Scott totaled 21 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Jordyn Scott added 13 points, six rebounds and six assists. Kenzie Wagner had 11 points and five boards. Bree Smart had eight points, while Brooke Montgomery had five points and eight rebounds. 

Freeman’s Rylee Peters scored 15 points and Vaida Ammann added five points. 


Waubay-Summit 52, Ipswich 44 

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double figures to power Waubay-Summit to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Addison Heinje totaled 18 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Liza Purdy and Caley Boik scored 14 points apiece. Purdy added seven rebounds and four assists. Kayce Berger had six points and six rebounds. Peyton Rumza grabbed 10 boards.

For Ipswich, Gabby Wald recorded 13 points and three rebounds. Marley Guthmiller totaled 12 points and 16 boards. Jalyssa Hutson had nine points and four rebounds. Anna Nierman scored five points. 


Gayville-Volin 52, Deubrook Area 47

IRENE — Taylor Hoxeng and Paisley Dimmer powered Gayville-Volin to a girls basketball win at Saturday’s Blizzard Buster Classic. 

Hoxeng finished with 19 points and Dimmer added 14 points. 

For GV, Mataya Gouws totaled 15 points and Matte Bauman scored nine points. 


Lakota Tech 57, Dakota Valley 52

IRENE — Lakota Tech edged Dakota Valley in girls basketball action at Saturday’s Blizzard Buster Classic. 

Lakota Tech’s Lizzie Robinson posted 22 points, while Amelia Shangreaux added 17 points. Isabella Shangreaux scored 11 points. 

For Dakota Valley, Aubree Worden totaled 23 points and Kate Betsworth had 15 points. 


Viborg-Hurley 44, Osmond (Neb.) 30

IRENE — Viborg-Hurley pulled away from Osmond (Neb.) for a girls basketball win at Saturday’s Blizzard Buster Classic. 

Tatum Lyons scored 18 points and Olivia Hanson added five points. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 44, Sioux Falls Lutheran 23

IRENE — Halle Olson and Lilly Muckey combined for 34 points to power Andes Central/Dakota Christian to a girls basketball at Saturday’s Blizzard Buster Classic. 

Olson scored 20 points and Muckey added 14 points.

For SFL, Kjersten Bjordahl had 10 points and Sophie Dold scored eight points.


Alcester-Hudson 45, Burke 29 

IRENE — Alcester-Hudson topped Burke for a girls basketball win at Saturday’s Blizzard Buster Classic.

AH’s Emily Winquist scored 19 points and Emma Solberg added eight points.

For Burke, Emmy Spencer scored seven points and Annie Connot scored six points. 


Florence-Henry 55, Parker-Marion 24

IRENE — Florence-Henry defeated Parker-Marion for a girls basketball win at Saturday’s Blizzard Buster Classic.

FH’s Ava Byer scored 17 points and Ashlynn Vavruska added 10 points.

For PM, Karley Luke scored seven points and Emma Tuschen added six points.


De Smet 57, Hills-Beaver Creek (Minn.) 51 (OT)

COLMAN — Hazel Luethmers dropped 26 points as De Smet outlasted Hills-Beaver Creek, Minnesota, in overtime at Saturday’s Dakota Valley Conference Classic.

Luethmers led with 26 points for the Bulldogs, Addy Gross totaled nine points, Brooke Jennings netted eight points while Megan Dylla recorded seven points in the win.
