Corsica-Stickney 42, Menno 29 

MENNO — Corsica-Stickney pulled past Menno for a girls basketball win on Friday.


Hanson 74, Bridgewater-Emery 25

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson used a balanced scoring attack to pick up a girls basketball win over Bridgewater-Emery on Friday.

Hanson’s Kylie Haiar finished with 22 points and eight rebounds, while Taziah Hawkins added 15 points and four assists. Alyssa Moschell logged 11 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Cadence Jarding and Eliza Oltmanns scored 10 points apiece. Jarding had five steals. 

Bridgewater-Emery’s Macie Weber logged nine points and Hayden Hofer scored seven points. Hofer added five boards. 


Ethan 65, Howard 29

HOWARD — Three players scored in double-figures as Class B No. 1 Ethan picked up a road win over Howard in girls basketball action Friday.

Ella Pollreisz led Ethan with 20 points. Maddy Bartscher finished with 18 points and six rebounds. Ava Lingemann chipped in with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Abby Aslesen led Howard with 12 points and eight rebounds. Dakota Spader finished with 10 points and Ann Connor delivered six rebounds. 


Castlewood 66, Iroquois/Lake Preston 54

LAKE PRESTON — A balanced scoring effort helped Castlewood pick up a road win over Iroquois/Lake Preston in girls basketball action Friday.

Sophia Kudrna powered Castlewood with 17 points and five rebounds. Presley Knecht added 13 points, three rebounds and an assist. 

Addison Moore led Iroquois/Lake Preston with 27 points. 


Sioux Valley 68, Beresford 46

VOLGA — Isabelle Bloker and Liberty Trygstad combined for 43 points as the Sioux Valley girls knocked off Beresford in the second round of the Big East Tournament on Friday. 

Bloker led the Cossacks with 26 points while adding two rebounds and an assist. Trygstad added 17 points and six rebounds while Talya Vincent and Kailey Cradduck each scored nine points. 

Ella Merrigan led Bersford with 25 points and four rebounds. 


Chester 75, Baltic 47

CHESTER — Three players scored in double-figures as Chester Area picked up a win over Baltic in girls basketball action Friday. 

Emmerson Eppard powered the Flyers with 18 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists and four steals. Jacy Wolf was Chester’s leading scorer with 22 points. Emery Larson scored 20 points while grabbing four rebounds and two assists. 

Baylee Breece led Baltic with 20 points while grabbing seven rebounds. Meredith Larson chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.


Warner 53, Waubay/Summit 40

WARNER — A big night from Kyra Marcuson helped Warner edge Waubay/Summit in girls basketball action Friday.

Marcuson poured in 28 points to lead the Monarchs. Kyleigh Schopp added six points while Lauren Marcuson added five points.

Eva Benike led Waubay/Summit with 16 points including making four 3-pointers. Peyton Rumpza chipped in with 15 points. 


Dupree 67, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 59 

EAGLE BUTTE — Dupree held off Cheyenne-Eagle Butte for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Dupree’s Taylee Jewett poured in a game-high 27 points and Jazmyn Longbrake scored 14 points. Minda Woodward had eight points, while Peyton Knife scored six points. Kamari Jensen had five points.

For CEB, Tiana Johnson scored 24 points and Suni Bowman had 15 points. KaiLoni Johnson added seven points and JaiLynn Knife scored five points. 


Colman-Egan 46, De Smet 38

COLMAN — Three players scored in double figures to lift Colman-Egan to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Colman-Egan’s Kaylee Voelker finished with 16 points and three 3-pointers. Lanie Mousel added 13 points, 11 rebounds and three 3-pointers. Brynlee Landis had 11 points and five rebounds. 

De Smet’s Hazel Luethmers recorded 19 points and five rebounds. Brooke Jennings recorded eight points and 10 rebounds. Megan Dylla had five rebounds. 


Arlington 57, Estelline-Hendricks 40

ARLINGTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Arlington to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Arlington’s Jaelyn Huntimer finished with 19 points and three rebounds. Jolyssa Steffensen had 11 points, while Harley Johnson added 10 points. Addalyn Steffensen logged nine points, five rebounds, five steals and five assists. 

Estelline-Hendricks’ Sadie Johnson recorded 12 points and Ayla Texley scored 10 points. 


Northwestern 53, Langford Area 43

LANGFORD — Northwestern’s Ana Ratigan and Ashley Haven combined for 30 points and 25 rebounds in a girls basketball win on Friday. 

Ratigan finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Haven added 10 points and 11 rebounds. Josie Sparling logged eight points and five rebounds. Ella Boekelheide posted eight points and nine rebounds. Tara Blachford had seven boards.

Langford Area’s Megan Gustafson posted 15 points and 11 rebounds. Alexandria Darling scored 18 points and hit five 3-pointers. 


Tiospaye Topa 77, Takini 21

MITCHELL — Tiospaye Topa picked up a girls basketball win over Takini at the Dakota Oyate Challenge on Friday.

Tiospaye Topa’s Pamela Meeter scored 33 points, while Leilani Bowker had 21 points. Madison Jeffries and K’Launa Buffalo had 10 points apiece. 

Takini’s LaShae Rondeaux finished with 16 points. 


Flandreau Indian 47, Crazy Horse 28 

MITCHELL — Flandreau Indian topped Crazy Horse for a girls basketball win at the Dakota Oyate Challenge on Friday.

Flandreau Indian’s Mashyla Main, Haley Schmieg and Davoni Sheridan scored 11 points apiece. Angelique Bell had eight points.

Crazy Horse’s America Moran and Danica Ferguson scored seven points apiece.
