Wall 59, Hill City 53

WALL — Wall outlasted Hill City for a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Wall’s Allie Kjerstad had 19 points and hit five 3-pointers. Karmyn Kjerstad finished with 11 points. Brittney Walker and Emmy Moon scored eight points apiece. Braylee Walker scored seven points and Jocelyn Bielmaier scored six points.

For Hill City, Alaina Dean scored 14 points and Naiya Ginsbach totaled 12 points. Lillie Ham had 10 points and Daril Frandsen had seven points.

 

Philip 85, Newell 49

NEWELL --- Philip's Drew Terkildsen scored a game-high 48 points in a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Terkildsen added 17 rebounds, 12 steals and six assists.

Sioux Valley 70, Beresford 43

VOLGA — Three players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 5 Sioux Valley to a girls basketball win on Thursday. The Cossacks totaled 14 3-pointers. 

Sioux Valley’s Kailey Cradduck totaled 19 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and three 3-pointers. Talya Vincent added 17 points, five 3-pointers, five assists and three rebounds. Liberty Trygstad finished with 14 points, nine assists, four steals and four 3-pointers. Amari Ward totaled six points and five boards. Masey Top had seven points and Miley Keating added five points and eight boards.

For Beresford, Ella Merriman scored a game-high 26 points and grabbed eight boards. Harley Koth recorded nine points and 10 boards. 


Hamlin 69, Sisseton 39

SISSETON — Four players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 2 Hamlin to a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Addison Neuendorf finished with 22 points, while Issie Steffensen recorded 20 points and four 3-pointers. Addie Jensen scored 11 points and Sarita Stevenson scored 10 points.

For Sisseton, Piper Langager scored 20 points. Elliot Hortness and Fallon Hawkins six points apiece. Kennedy Hanson had five points. 


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 58, Wessington Springs 38 

WOONSOCKET — Liz Boschee and Addison Bartholow powered Class B No. 7 Sanborn Central/Woonsocket to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Boschee finished with 22 points and Bartholow added 18 points.

For Wessington Springs, Kerstynn Heim had 14 points and Kendall Kolousek scored seven points. 


Flandreau 41, Deubrook Area 27

FLANDREAU — Morgan Sheppard and Rhegan Sheppard powered Flandreau to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Morgan Sheppard totaled 18 points, 10 boards and seven blocks. Rhegan Sheppard scored 11 points.

For Deubrook Area, Peyton Trooien scored 13 points. 


Lyman 67, New Underwood 17

NEW UNDERWOOD — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 1 Lyman to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Jordyn Scott led the way with 18 points, 10 steals, four assists and three rebounds. Brooke Montgomery added 15 points, seven steals and five assists. Mak Scott scored 11 points, added seven rebounds and four assists. Kenzie Wagner scored nine points and added five rebounds. Bree Smart added five points and four assists.

New Underwood stats were not reported. 


Faulkton Area 43, Leola-Frederick Area 34

LEOLA — Brooklyn Mueller and Presleigh Martinmaas powered Faulkton Area to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Mueller finished with 20 points and eight rebounds. Martinmaas added 10 points, four steals and three rebounds. Anika Mueller totaled six points, six steals, eight rebounds and three assists. 

For LFA, Arabella Clark had 12 points and seven rebounds. Kaitlyn Mueller totaled 11 points and three rebounds. Kalyce Achen added five points, four rebounds and four steals. 


Chester 55, Bridgewater-Emery 29

CHESTER — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 8 Chester to a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Chester’s Jacy Wolf finished with 17 points and four steals. Emmerson Eppard had 13 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. Kaitlyn Schut totaled 13 points. 

For BE, Tenley Jatczak had 10 points and Oakley Weber added nine points. 


Castlewood 48, Iroquois-Lake Preston 22 

LAKE PRESTON — Castlewood coasted past Iroquois-Lake Preston for a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Castlewood’s Claire Horn finished with 11 points, while Kayla Goens had eight points and four rebounds. Bryn Schooley totaled eight points. Sophia Kudrna added six points and seven rebounds. Ava Ruml totaled five points and 10 boards. 

For ILP, Khloe Olson scored four points.


Canton 51, McCook Central-Montrose 37

SALEM — Mya Anderson and Camryn Skiles combined for 30 points as Canton knocked McCook Central-Montrose in girls basketball action Thursday.

Anderson finished with 18 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals, Skiles added 12 points and five rebounds, Jordan Rhead collected seven points, 12 boards, four steals, three assists and two blocks while Jayla York netted seven points in the win.

For MCM, Ella Deknikker had eight points and three steals, Mya Morrison added eight points, four rebounds and two steals while Mandi Schock and Ashtyn DeKnikker each had six points in the loss.


Harding County 73, Sundance (Wyo.) 45

BUFFALO — Four players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 10 Harding County to a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Sattyn Wilson finished with 18 points, while Kamry Padden added 12 points. Macey Wendt recorded 11 points and Raelee Hunsucker scored 10 points. Maci Wammen had eight points and Kaylen Padden totaled six points and five boards.
