Ethan 61, Wessington Springs 48 

ETHAN — Class B No. 4 Ethan picked up a girls basketball win over Wessington Springs on Friday. 


Centerville 71, Burke 45

CENTERVILLE — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 2 Centerville to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Izzie Eide recorded 17 points and three steals. Makayla Heesch posted 16 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals. Lillie Eide added 10 points, five rebounds and five assists. Althea Gust had 11 points and five rebounds. Emma Marshall posted eight points and 12 rebounds. Keira Austin added five points, four assists and three rebounds.

For Burke, Emmie Hausmann logged 17 points and five rebounds. Cecily Geaghan, Paige Bull and Olivia Bull scored seven points apiece. 


Wagner 60, Bon Homme 56

TYNDALL — Class A No. 1 Wagner edged Bon Homme for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Macy Koupal and Ashlyn Koupal both scored 21 points apiece, while Macy Koupal logged her 1,000th career point. 

Bon Homme’s Jurni Vavruska finished with 27 points. 


Vermillion 57, Parkston 50 

PARKSTON — Class A No. 5 Vermillion edged Parkston in girls basketball action on Friday.

Vermillion’s Jenaya Cleveland finished with 16 points and eight rebounds. Brooke Jensen added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Brooklyn Voss added 10 points and eight rebounds. Taylor Reuvers finished with 10 points, four rebounds, three steals and three blocks.

For Parkston, Lauren Ziebart finished with 15 points. Mya Thuringer added 12 points and five boards. Gracie Oakley had 10 points. Berkley Ziebart had seven points and four rebounds. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 44, Waubay-Summit 19 

SUMMIT — Elkton-Lake Benton picked up a girls basketball win over Waubay-Summit on Friday.

ELB’s Kylie Ramlo finished with 21 points, four rebounds and four blocked shots. Malayna Hemmen finished with 10 points and four rebounds, while Charlie Thooft posted eight points and five boards.

Waubay-Summit’s Peyton Rumpza finished with seven points. 


Sisseton 62, Aberdeen Roncalli 55

ABERDEEN — Class A No. 2 Sisseton clipped Aberdeen Roncalli for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Sisseton’s Chloe Langager finished with 16 points, while Krista Langager had 14 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots. Hannah Leverson finished with 14 points.

For Roncalli, Ava Hanson totaled 19 points and seven rebounds. McKenna O’Keefe had 11 points and seven rebounds. 


Warner 50, North Central 34

ROSCOE — Warner built a 23-7 first-quarter lead and picked up a girls basketball win on Friday.

Warner’s Kyra Marcuson finished with 17 points, while Kyleigh Schopp had 10 points. Stacia Carda scored eight points, while Lauren Marcuson recorded six points. 

For North Central, Amree VanderVorst had 15 points. Ella Batie tallied nine points and Alaina Dosch scored seven points. 


Beresford 63, McCook Central/Montrose 54

BERESFORD — Beresford pulled away from McCook Central/Montrose for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Beresford’s Ella Merriman finished with 25 points and seven steals. Harley Leuth scored 11 points, while Lily Seivert finished with nine points, nine rebounds, five steals and three assists.

For MCM, Ella Deknicker scored 17 points. Abby Wagner scored 16 points and Cami McGurie scored 10 points. 


Great Plains Lutheran 45, Britton-Hecla 27

WATERTOWN — Three players scored in double figures to pace Great Plains Lutheran to a girls basketball win over Britton-Hecla on Friday.

GPL’s Abby Kjenstad finished with 13 points, while Halle Bauer and Madeline Prahl scored 11 points apiece. 

For Britton-Hecla, Sterling Brassfield scored 13 points and Jayden Bender had seven points. 


Highmore-Harrold 58, Sully Buttes 42

Onida — Three players reached double-figures as Highore-Harrold earned a road win over Sully Buttes in girls basketball action Friday.

Autumn Fallis led the way for Highmore-Harrold with 15 points and seven assists. Jada Baloun offered up 14 points and Kendall Cermak had 10 points.

Stats for Sully Buttes were not reported.
