West Fargo Horace, N.D., 50, Florence-Henry 46

SIOUX FALLS — Florence-Henry dropped a four-point decision against West Fargo Horace, North Dakota at the Sanford Pentagon Border Battle on Saturday.

Florence-Henry’s Caylin Kelly finished with 16 points and eight rebounds. Taylor Watson added nine points, while Reese Schmidt scored eight points. Ashlynn Vavruska added seven points, while Haley Hlavacek added six points and six rebounds. 


Estelline-Hendricks 54, Northwestern 41

REDFIELD — Three players scored in double figures to pace Estelline-Hendricks to a Redfield Classic girls basketball win over Northwestern on Saturday. 

Estelline-Hendricks’ Sadie Johnson finished with 16 points, while Kenzy Beare added 14 points and 11 rebounds. Ayla Texley had 11 points and four steals. Brooke Johnson tallied seven points, while Claire Dagel posted eight rebounds and four points.

For Northwestern, Tara Blachford recorded 10 points and five rebounds. Josie Sparling had nine points and 11 rebounds. Ashley Haven added nine points and 16 boards. Sophia Troske had eight points. 


Faulkton Area 53, North Central 24

ROSCOE — Faulkton Area pulled past North Central for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Faulkton Area’s Carley Cotton totaled 20 points and hit three 3-pointers. Jaymi Senn and Olivia Hadrick scored nine points apiece. Kelli Stoecker had five points and five boards.

For North Central, Amree Vander Vorst and Alaina Dosch scored seven points apiece. Ella Batie scored five points. 


Harding County 49, Faith 34

FAITH — Harding County pulled away from Faith for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Harding County’s Jaelyn Wendt scored 10 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and added 10 steals for a triple-double. Bailey Verhulst and Raelee Hunsucker scored seven points apiece. Kelsi Costello and Kamry Padden scored six points apiece. Brayden Padden added five points. 

Faith’s Tyann Mortenson finished with a game-high 22 points and had five steals. Reagan Grueb scored six points. 

McLaughlin 59, Hitchcock-Tulare 45

REDFIELD — McLaughlin pulled away from Hitchcock-Tulare for a Redfield Classic girls basketball win on Saturday.

McLaughlin’s Blake Thompson finished with 27 points and hit three 3-pointers. Jessie Brown Otter added nine points, all on 3-pointers. Mari Richards recorded eight points. Frankie Archambault and Sandee Steele scored five points apiece.

For Hitchcock-Tulare, Cambree Hoekman had 19 points and nailed five 3-pointers. Katelyn Schroeder finished with 13 points. 


Canistota 58, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 40

CANISTOTA — Three players scored in double figures to pace Canistota to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Canistota’s Kayla Papendick finished with 19 points and eight boards. Natalie Becker recorded 14 points and six rebounds. Bailey Spicer finished with 13 points, while Hannah Hoffman had five points and four rebounds. Ellie Becker posted six rebounds and four points.

For ORR, Julia Trygstad had 17 points and nine rebounds. Alivia Bickett added 11 points. Brookelyn Riedel added six points and five boards. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 52, Dell Rapids 40 

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson picked up a girls basketball win over Dell Rapids on Saturday.

EPJ’s Cera Schmitz logged 11 points, four assists and three 3-pointers. Ashley Brewer added 10 points and six boards. Kaitlyn VanRoekel had nine points and four assists. Bentlee Kollbaum had eight points and six rebounds. Grace Peed posted six points. 

For Dell Rapids, Clara Justice and Rorie Thoreson scored 11 points apiece. Jersi Schultz had seven points and seven boards. 


Harrisburg 40, Huron 36

HARRISBURG — Harrisburg edged Huron in girls basketball action on Saturday.

Harrisburg’s Kinley Lawrenson finished with 11 points, while Abby Flanagan scored 10 points.

For Huron, Hamtyn Heinz had 15 points. Kenzie Siemonsma had six points and 12 rebounds.
