Rapid City Christian 55, Sturgis 43

RAPID CITY — Sadie Marshall and Brynn Casey powered Rapid City Christian to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Marshall finished with 14 points and Casey added 13 points. Shaylie Griffith and Maddie Kooiman scored six points apiece. Alex Love and Liza Kieffer added five points apiece.

For Sturgis, Addy Kossler scored 14 points and Kierra Killinger had 10 points. Leigha Long scored nine points and Olivia Vliem added eight points. 


Centerville 77, Burke 29

CENTERVILLE — Four players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 1 Centerville to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Centerville’s Brea Austin finished with 15 points, four assists and three steals. Tessa Eide and Peyton Hansen scored 13 points apiece. Hansen added eight rebounds, while Eide had five rebounds. Izzie Eide posted 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Ella Ruter scored seven points and Lydia Austin scored six points.

For Burke, Brianna Davis posted 13 points and Emmie Hausmann scored six points.


McCook Central/Montrose 78, Beresford 66

SALEM — Ella DeKnikker powered McCook Central/Montrose over Beresford in girls basketball action Friday.

DeKnikker led with 21 points, nine steals and four assists, Mandi Schock had 10 points and eight rebounds, Mya Morrison added 10 points, four assists and two steals, Ashtyn DeKnikker and Nora Gordon each had seven points while Natalie Lueth collected five points and five boards in the win.

For Beresford, Ella Merriman poured in 37 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and four assists, Rylie Laurvick added nine points while Harley Koth, Kianna Hazel and Adelynn Schable each had five points in the loss.


Dupree 53, Little Wound 42

DUPREE — Maddlynn Red Bear powered Dupree to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Red Bear scored a game-high 21 points. JaeShawnia Iron Hawk scored 15 points and Jada Brewer added seven points and Kerris Brown scored five points.

For Little Wound, Tessa Jumping Eagle had 16 points. Royale Ghost scored seven points. Kalia Long Soldier and Rayonna Brave Bird posted five points apiece.


Gayville-Volin 52, Irene-Wakonda 28

IRENE — A balanced scoring attack pushed Gayville-Volin to a girls basketball victory over Irene-Wakonda Friday.

Taylor Hoxeng led the Raiders with 16 points and four steals, Paisley Dimmer had 12 points, Jolie Westrum had 10 points while Maia Achen netted nine points and 10 rebounds in the win.

For IW, Ava George had nine points, Emily Oien tallied seven points and three steals while Maryn Lyngstad netted six rebounds in the loss.
