BRANDON — Dawson Mork hit a walk-off single in the seventh inning to lift Brandon Valley Post 131 to a Legion baseball win over the Post 307 Royals on Wednesday.

Sam Sejnoha took the win for Post 131, pitching two innings and allowing zero runs on two hits.

Aiden Zerr started the game for Post 131, allowing four runs on three hits in five innings, while striking out three.

Mork and Matt Brown each collected two hits

Mav Jardin took the loss for Post 307, giving up three runs on three hits in one inning, while striking out one. Preston Konechne started the game for Post 307, allowing two runs on three hits in 5 ⅓ innings, while striking out three.

Trey Heckenlaible led Post 307 with two hits in three at bats, while Wyatt Hermsen drove in two runs.


Brandon Valley Post 131 12, Post 307 Royals 1

BRANDON — Brandon Valley Post 131 scored seven runs in the second inning and never looked back in a Legion baseball win over the Post 307 Royals on Wednesday.

Nick Hokenstad took the win for Post 131, surrendering one run on three hits in five innings, while striking out three.

Austin Reiter led Post 131 with three hits in three at bats. Matt Brown and Dawson Skorczewski each drove in two runs, while Ty Peyton had four stolen bases.

Joe Jacobson took the loss for Post 307, pitching 1 ⅔ innings and allowing five hits and seven runs, while striking out two. 

Trey Heckenlaible, Carter Peterson, and Keegan Wenande each had one hit for Post 307. 


Winner/Colome 8, Valentine, Neb. Seniors 4

WINNER — Winner/Colome held off the Valentine, Neb. Seniors for a Legion baseball win on Wednesday.

Justin Hausmann picked up the win for Winner/Colome, pitching 5 ⅓ innings and allowing two runs on three hits.

Winner/Colome recorded 11 hits, including Ashton Klein leading with four hits in four at bats. Aiden Barfuss added two hits, while Ethan Bartels drove in two runs.

Drew McIntosh took the loss for Valentine, Neb., allowing three runs on seven hits and walking one in three innings.

Tagg Buechle had two hits in four at bats to lead Valentine, Neb.


Sioux Falls Post 15 West 3, Yankton Post 12 1

YANKTON — Sioux Falls Post 15 West picked up a Legion baseball win over Yankton Post 12 on Wednesday.

Jacob Mongar took the win for Post 15 West, allowing zero runs on three hits, while striking out four and walking one in four innings.

Noah Goodroad led Post 15 West with two hits in four at bats, while Ryan Rysavy drove in two runs.

Joe Gokie took the loss for Post 12, allowing six hits and three runs in seven innings, while striking out six.

Cody Oswald led Post 12 with two hits in three at bats.

Yankton Post 12 won game two by a score of 1-0.


Mitchell Post 18 14, Watertown Post 17 5

MITCHELL — Mitchell Post 18 raced past Watertown Post 17 for a Legion baseball win on Wednesday.

Landon Waddell picked up the win for Post 18, allowing four hits and five runs in 2 ⅔ innings, while striking out one.

Jonah Schmidt led Post 18 with three hits in five at bats, while Jake Helleloid, Seth Muth, and Dylan Soulek each had two hits in four at bats. Helleloid and Hudson Haley each drove in three runs. Mason Geraets drove in two runs.

Andrew Czech took the loss for Post 17, lasting four innings and allowing seven hits and eight runs, while striking out one.

Braedon Zaug led Post 17 with two hits in four at bats, while Jack Heesch had two RBI’s.


Mitchell Post 18 12, Watertown Post 17 1

MITCHELL — Mitchell scored seven runs in the fourth inning to pull away from Watertown Post 17 for a Legion baseball win on Wednesday.

Jake Helleloid earned the win for Post 18, allowing four hits and one run in five innings, while striking out seven.

Mitchell Post 18 tallied 11 hits in the game, with Helleloid, Dylan Soulek, and Jace Larson recording two hits each. Helleloid, Lukas Bennett, and Riley McGinnis each drove in two runs.

Kyle Karst took the loss for Post 17, allowing seven runs and seven hits in three innings.

Ryan Roby led Post 17 with three hits in three at bats.
