Lemmon native Haley Froelich was named the Clarke University assistant women’s basketball coach and head women’s golf coach on June 27. 

Froelich joins the Pride from Dickinson State University where she served as an assistant coach for the Blue Hawks women's basketball team for four seasons after serving as a graduate assistant for Mount Marty College for two seasons prior.

As a player, Froelich earned two NAIA All-America honors in her career at Presentation College including leading NAIA Division II in scoring during the 2015-16 season as she averaged 24.9 points per game while shooting 51.4 percent from the field for the Saints.

The season prior, Froelich became the first member of Presentation's women's basketball team to earn All-America honors as she received NAIA Division II honorable mention for the 2014-15 season where she averaged 21.4 points per game, which placed her seventh in the division.

Froelich rounded out her four-year basketball career at NCAA Division II basketball powerhouse Northern State University, where she played for legendary head coach Curt Fredrickson. 

Froelich has also been a camp director for the last four years Midwest Elite Basketball (MEB). MEB is a company that travels all over the Midwest putting on team camps for high schools. She has worked with hundreds of kids throughout the country during this time.

Froelich earned her Bachelors in Science at Presentation College in 2017, as well as her Master's Degree in Coaching and Leadership from Mount Marty College in 2019.

Clarke University is an NAIA program in Dubuque, Iowa.
