CANTON — The Lennox boys and Canton girls claimed team titles at Thursday’s Terry Bong Invitational 

The Oriole boys finished with 191 points, finishing ahead of West Central (164) and Chester Area (119). The Canton girls racked up 231.50 points, while West Central (139) and Dell Rapids (100) rounded out the top-three teams. 

For Lennox, Steven Christion (100-meter dash), Sam Swanson (800-meter run), Layne Kuiper (300-meter hurdles) and Landon Slack (javelin) all won individual events to power the team title. 

Canton’s Grace Gannon (1,600-meter run, 3,200-meter run) and Fallan Lundstrom (100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles) captured two individual titles to key the team title. Natylie Myers (discus) and Danica Rozeboom (shot put) also earned titles for the Hawks. 

Note: The boys discus, shot put, pole vault, along with the girls long jump, pole vault and javelin results were not yet reported.
