Lyman's Skyler Volmer commits to Division I North Dakota

Lyman High School’s Skyler Volmer has committed to play college basketball at Division I North Dakota. Volmer tweeted her intentions to join the Fighting Hawks on Saturday, Aug. 19. 

Volmer, a 5-foot-9 guard, averaged 18.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game last season. She was a third-time all-state selection for the Raiders. 

Volmer had also received scholarship opportunities from Division I Valparaiso and Division II programs Augustana University and University of Nebraska-Kearney. 

Volmer is also an outstanding track and field athlete, placing in the high jump, 100-meter hurdles, triple jump and long jump.
