Mitchell 42, Yankton 27

MITCHELL — Mitchell pulled away from Yankton for a Class AA SoDak 16 girls basketball win on Friday. The Kernels will play in the state tournament on March 7-9 in Sioux Falls. 

Mitchell’s Addie Siemsen logged 12 points, while Allison Meyerink and Sawyer Stoebner scored 11 points apiece. 

Yankton’s Claire Tereshinski had 18 points. 

Harrisburg 59, Sioux Falls Washington 38

HARRISBURG — The Harrisburg Tigers punched their ticket to the Class AA girls state tournament with a win over Sioux Falls Washington Friday night.

Jaylee Hofer led Harrisburg with 22 points. Sadie Mehrman had 13 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Tigers. 

Grace Peterson led Sioux Falls Washington with 15 points and 10 rebounds. 

Brandon Valley 65, Brookings 49

BRANDON — Brandon Valley pulled past Brookings for a Class AA SoDak 16 girls basketball win on Friday.

Brandon Valley’s Alyvia Padgett posted 25 points. 

Pierre 63, Huron 36

PIERRE — Pierre punched its ticket to the state tournament with a SoDak 16 girls basketball win on Friday.

Pierre’s Lennix Dupris logged 19 points, while Reese Terwilliger had 18 points. Ryann Barry added 15 points.

Huron’s Hylton Heinz logged 12 points and Hamtyn Heinz scored 11 points.
