Pierre's Lincoln Kienholz breaks South Dakota 11-man passing record

Pierre’s Lincoln Kienholz is the all-time leading passer in South Dakota 11-man history.

The all-state quarterback surpassed Brandon Valley’s Austin Sumner as the all-time 11-man leader in a 59-7 win over Huron on Oct. 7. Kienholz set the 11-man record with a 223-yard and three-touchdown performance against Huron, pushing his career mark to 7,810 passing yards. 

Sumner, a former South Dakota State University quarterback, set the 11-man mark with 7,629 passing yards. 

Kienholz, a University of Washington commit, is second all-time in South Dakota history in passing yards. Lemmon/McIntosh’s Cody Thompson is the all-time leader with 8,667 passing yards. 

St. Thomas More’s Nick Wald (7,254) and Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Alex Schultz (6,717) are fourth and fifth, respectively.
