Pierre's Lincoln Kienholz to play in All-American Bowl

SAN ANTONIO — Pierre’s Lincoln Kienholz will play in the 22nd annual All-American Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 7. The prestigious bowl game features more than 100 of the nation’s top high school football players arriving Monday to begin preparing for the game (noon CT/NBC).

To date, 533 players that have suited up in this prestigious event have heard their name called in the NFL Draft including 118 first round selections. 

Kienholz, a Ohio State University signee, will play on the West team with two other quarterbacks in Oregon bound Austin Novosad and Louisville signee Pierce Clarkson. COMPLETE ROSTERS

Kienholz is part of an Ohio State class ranked No. 6 nationally, and the three-sport standout is South Dakota’s all-time passing leader throwing for 9,100 yards and 104 touchdowns. He added 3,502 rushing yards and 44 rushing scores in his career. 

As a senior, Kienholz passed for 3,422 passing yards and 46 passing touchdowns, while rushing for 1,435 yards and 24 touchdowns. He was a member of four state championships for Pierre, including three as a starter. He’s a three-time all-state quarterback and a three-time Joe Robbie MVP winner. Kienholz is also an all-state basketball and baseball player.
