SAN ANTONIO — Pierre’s Lincoln Kienholz threw a pair of passing touchdowns in the All-American Bowl on Saturday. 

The Ohio State University signee finished 6 of 11 for 105 passing yards in the West’s 55-17 loss against the East in front of 23,035 fans at the Alamodome. 

In the third quarter, Kienholz evaded pressure and scrambled past a pair of defenders, before unleashing a 43-yard touchdown pass to LSU signee Ka’Morreun for the West’s first touchdown of the day. In the fourth quarter, Kienholz threw a 43-yard touchdown strike to TCU signee Cordale Russell to reach the final margin. 

Kienholz was recently named the Gatorade South Dakota player of the year. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound senior quarterback passed for 3,422 passing yards and 46 passing touchdowns, while rushing for 1,435 yards and 24 touchdowns as a senior. He finished as South Dakota’s all-time passing leader throwing for 9,100 yards and 104 touchdowns. He added 3,502 rushing yards and 44 rushing scores in his career. 

He was a member of four state championships for Pierre, including three as a starter. He’s a three-time all-state quarterback and a three-time Joe Robbie MVP winner. Kienholz is also an all-state basketball and baseball player.
