Potter County's Nicholas Schlachter captures mile, two-mile runs at Bob Judson Invitational

PIERRE — Potter County’s Nicholas Schlachter was among the double winners at Tuesday’s Bob Judson Invitational at Hollister Field.

Schlachter captured first place in the 1,600 and 3,200-meter runs. Schlachter covered the mile run in five minutes and :05.45 seconds, which is currently second best in Class B. Schlachter’s two-mile time of 11:38.69 is currently third best in Class B. 

Pierre’s Jack Merkwan captured two first-place finishes in the 110 and 300-meter hurdles. Merkwan won the 110-meter hurdles in :16.58 seconds, while he finished the 300-meter hurdles in :43.01. 

Stanley County’s Cormac Duffy was a double winner in the long jump (19-5) and triple jump (40-2). 

In the shot put, Sully Buttes’ Jesse Schall (45-1) and Jordan Schall (42-4) finished first and second, respectively. Jesse Schall’s mark is currently second best in Class B. In the discus, Jordan Schall placed third and Jesse Schall finished fourth. 

The Pierre boys won four of the five relays, including a :44.88 time in the 400-meter relay. The quartet of Tayshaun Agard, Landon Bertram, Cole Peterson and Tucker Putzier has Class AA’s third fastest time in the event.

Pierre’s Kali Ringstmeyer was a double winner in the 100 and 200-meter dashes. She finished the 100-meter dash in :13.28 and the 200-meter dash in :27.38. 

Potter County’s Peyton Stevens won the 1,600-meter run (5:57.72) and 3,200-meter run (13:18.78). Stevens’ time in the 3,200-meter run is currently the best in Class B, while her 1,600-meter run is fourth-best mark in Class B. 

Sully Buttes’ Lydia Hill was a double winner in the shot put (34-7.50) and discus (102-5). Hill’s shot put mark is the fourth best in Class B, while the discus mark is the fifth best in Class B.
